CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> <br />Minutes of <br />Date of Meeting: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />March 18, 1986 <br />9:00 A.M. <br />Coumcil Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by the Reverend Andrew Curtin, Parkview Hospital. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meetings of March 10 and 11, 1986, were approved as submitted. <br /> <br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Bob Raven representing the Ar- <br />lington Chamber of Comeroe and Dianne Kiln representing ~he Hunter Park-Northside <br />Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to <br />those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for <br />consideration, with the exception of Zoning Case PRD-9-767 (Revised) and the Boys <br />Clubs of Riverside permit, beth of which were removed to the Discussion Calendar, <br />and with Councilman Paterson requesting his vote be shown as "Not Voting" on Zoning <br />Case V-45-845 (Revised) because it is reasonably foreseeable that the decision will <br />have a material financial effect on a source of income; and with Councilman Bowers <br />requesti~ his vote be shown as "Not Voting" on the appeal of ~he Uniform Building <br />Code because it is reasonably foreseeable that the decision will have a material fi- <br />nancial effect on a source of income. <br /> <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />ZONING CASE MP-6-856 - THE WEST~AY GROUP, INC. - 2037 IOWA <br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on <br />February 20, 1986, the Commission, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject <br />to conditions the request of The Westway Group, Inc., Zoning Case MP-6-856, for an <br />industrial plot plan consisting of three multi-tenant industrial/office one- and <br />two-story buildings totalling approximately 96,000 square feet and incidental park- <br />ing on approximately 6.5 acres of land at 2037 Iowa Avenue, developed with a resi- <br />dence and two accessory buildings, situated on the westerly side of Iowa Avenue <br />northerly of Spruce Street, in Zone MP; and determined that the proposal would not <br />have a significant adverse effect on the environment. It was determined that the <br />City Council would not set the matter for public hearing. <br /> <br />BOAaD OF ADMINISTRATIVE APPEALS AND ZONING ADJUSTMENT <br /> <br />ZONING CASE V-45-845 (REVISED) - PRESS ENTERPRISE CO. - 4600 BLOCK OF VINE <br />A communication was presented from the Board of Administrative Appeals and Zoning <br />Adjustment advising that, on February 19, 1986, the Board, by a vote of 5 ayes ~o <br />O noes and I abstention, approved subject to conditions the request of the Press En- <br />terprise Co., Zoning Case V-45-845 (Revised), for the following revised variances to <br />construct an approximately six-foot-high chain link fence with three strands of <br />barbed wire along all of the property lines for buildings under construction in the <br />4600 block of Vine Street, situated on both sides of Vine Street northeasterly of <br />Cridge Street, in Zone M-l: (A) to erect an approximately six-foot-high chain link <br />fence plus three s~rands of barbed wire along the front and street side property <br />lines where a maximum of four feet is permitted. A previously-granted variance al- <br />lowed a six-foot-high masonry wall to be constructed within ten feet of the property <br />line; and (B) to install parking spaces and ten feet of landscaping within the front <br />and street setbacks on the easterly side of Vine Street and the north side of Cridge <br />Street where a 20-foot landscaped setback is required.
