All Ayes CI~ P~NING C~ISSION ~SE GP-3~856 - CO~ OF RI~RSIDE - 4220 ~IN A co~unicaEion was presented fr~ the City Plannin~ Co~ission advisi~ that, on Febmary 20, 1986, the Co~ission considered =he request of =he County of Riverside, Case GP-30-856, for a de=emina=ion t~= the County's proposed acquisition of a~ proximately .53 acre of land located at 4220 Main Street, situated at the southeast- erly corner of ~elfth a~ ~in Streets, for use as a site for ~bile cour=room structures and a juror's ~itinE room, is in confomance ~=h the City's General Plan Land Use Ele~n= (Down=o~ Plan); and, by a vote of 7 ayes =o O noes, (1) da- temined =~t the proposed Co~=y of Riverside acquisition of property at the north- easterly comer of Twelfth and ~in S=reets and its proposed use is not fully con- sistent with the Ci=y's General Plan (Doeton Plan) which designates the site for Retail Business a~ Office uses; (2) requested the Planni~ Depart~nt to initiate, as =ime peruits, =he necessary public hearings to amend the General Plan to place this one-half-acre property in the LarEs Public and Institutional land use designa- tion in order to more closely reflect i=s intended use; and (3) foNdtried ~hese findi~s to the City Council for review and approval and, in =urn, ~o the County Board. of Supervisors for their consideration.
