CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> <br />Minutes of <br />Date of Meeting: <br />Time of bieetin~: <br />Place of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />January 21, 1986 <br />9:00 A.M. <br />Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by the Reverend Kent Tuohino, Trinity Lutheran Church. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given Co the Flag. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meetings of January 14, 1986, were approved as submitted. <br /> <br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Tom Morrison representing the <br />Riverside Chamber of Commerce and Keith Watson representing the Arlington Chamber of <br />Commerce. <br /> <br />CANVASS OF ELECTION RETURNS - SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION - RESOLUTION <br />This being the time and place fixed for the report of the City Clerk on the canvass <br />of the returns of the Special Municipal Election held on the 14th day of January, <br />1986, Mayor Brown called upon the City Clerk to read the results of said canvass of <br />returns of said election and the absentee votes cast at said election, as heretofore <br />authorized by Resolution of the City Council. Followir~ presentation of the certi- <br />fication of the results by the City Clerk, the following actions were taken: <br /> <br />SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION - DECLARING THE RESULTS <br />Resolution No. 16025 of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, <br />Reciting the Fact of the Special Municipal Election Held in Said City on the <br />14th Day of January, 1986, Declaring the Results Thereof and Setting Forth Such <br />Other Matters as are Provided by Law, was presented; which recited the results of <br />the votes cast for Member of the Cit7 Council for Ward 2; and the title of the <br />Resolution having been read, and further reading waived by the unanimous consent <br />of Councilmembers present, was adopted and ordered set forth in full in the Min- <br />utes. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE AND LOYALTY OATH <br />The City Clerk administered the Oath of Office and Loyalty Oath to newly-elected <br />Councilmen Jack B.
