CITY OF RIVERSIDE Minutes of Date of Meeting: Time of bieetin~: Place of Meeting: Regular Meeting of the City Council January 21, 1986 9:00 A.M. Council Chamber, City Hall Roll Call: The Invocation was given by the Reverend Kent Tuohino, Trinity Lutheran Church. The Pledge of Allegiance was given Co the Flag. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meetings of January 14, 1986, were approved as submitted. The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Tom Morrison representing the Riverside Chamber of Commerce and Keith Watson representing the Arlington Chamber of Commerce. CANVASS OF ELECTION RETURNS - SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION - RESOLUTION This being the time and place fixed for the report of the City Clerk on the canvass of the returns of the Special Municipal Election held on the 14th day of January, 1986, Mayor Brown called upon the City Clerk to read the results of said canvass of returns of said election and the absentee votes cast at said election, as heretofore authorized by Resolution of the City Council. Followir~ presentation of the certi- fication of the results by the City Clerk, the following actions were taken: SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION - DECLARING THE RESULTS Resolution No. 16025 of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, Reciting the Fact of the Special Municipal Election Held in Said City on the 14th Day of January, 1986, Declaring the Results Thereof and Setting Forth Such Other Matters as are Provided by Law, was presented; which recited the results of the votes cast for Member of the Cit7 Council for Ward 2; and the title of the Resolution having been read, and further reading waived by the unanimous consent of Councilmembers present, was adopted and ordered set forth in full in the Min- utes. OATH OF OFFICE AND LOYALTY OATH The City Clerk administered the Oath of Office and Loyalty Oath to newly-elected Councilmen Jack B.
