CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> <br /> COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br /> M i u A . o r ' ' <br /> . n tes of d~ u ned Regular Meeting of the City Council ,,~,~,, ,~ ,~,~,~, <br /> ate of Meeting: December 14, 1988 <br /> Time of Meeting: 2 P.M. <br /> <br />............................................................................................... ~O5 ~'~',4~ ,s ,~, <br /> <br />Mayor Brown called the meeting to order. <br /> <br />Mayor Brown excused himself during the following discussion; and Mayor Pro Tempore Friz- <br />zel presided. <br /> <br />MID-YEAR BUDGET REVIEW <br />The City Manager, the Assistant City Manager, the Management and Budget Director and the <br />Finance Director presented the Mid-Year Budget Review, discussed the information <br />presented in the written report, including General Fund revenue sources and expenditure <br />alternatives, and answered questions from the City Council. Following discussion, the <br />City staff was requested to schedule City Council consideration of the possible privati- <br />zation of refuse collection. <br /> <br />The City Council aDproved the supplemental ~udget items for the Development Department <br />as presented on page 45 of the report, as well as three Associate Engineer positions for <br />the Capital Improvement Section of the Public Works Department. <br /> <br />Following further discussion, motion was made to look into increasing the contribution <br />from the Electric Division to offset the Street Light Assessment District revenue. <br /> <br />A substitute motion was then made and carried to refer all possible additional revenue <br />sources to the City Council Finance Committee for consideration and recommendation to <br />the City Council. <br /> <br />At 3:55 p.m., Mayor Pro Tempore Frizzel declared the City Council meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />74-235 <br /> <br />,Motion <br />~Second <br />~All Ayes <br /> <br />Motion <br />~Second <br />;All Ayes <br /> <br />Motion <br />iSecond <br /> <br /> Motion <br /> Second <br /> All Ayes <br /> <br />~X <br /> <br />~X <br /> <br />~X <br /> <br />~X <br /> <br /> <br />
