Kenneth Willes, Chief Operating Officer, and Romayne Chinhock, Vice President, <br />Parkview Community Hospital Medical Canter, presented Plaques of Appreciation from the <br />Parkview Community Hospital Medical Center Board of Directors to Mayor Brown and to the <br />City Council in appreciation of their suppor~ for the Parkview Community Hospital Medi- <br />cal Center. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced Fred Butler and a group of deaf children from the California School <br />for the Deaf, Hands in Harmony, who signed Christmas carols for the City Council. <br /> <br />The Chair recognized =he presence in the audience of Mario Perez representing the <br />Riverside Chamber of C~erce, Dennis Johnson representing the La Sierra Chamber of <br />Commerce, Richard Gaches representing the Magnolia Center Chsmher of Coerce, a repre- <br />sentative of the Hunter Park-Northside Chamber of Commerce and-~Craig Smithson <br />representing the University-Canyon Crest Chamher of Coerce. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items ware approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to <br />those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for <br />consideration; with the exception of the Community Relations Program Study which was re- <br />moved to the Discussion Calendar. <br /> <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />ZONING CASE C-32-712 (REVISED) - LOMA LINDAUNIVERSITY - 4601 PIERCE <br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on Novem- <br />ber 17, 1988, the Commission, by a vote of 9 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi- <br />tions the request of Loma Linda University, Zoning Case C-32-712 (Revised), for a re- <br />vised conditional use permit to establish a child care center on the campus at <br />4601 Pierce Street, developed with the Loma Liuda University, La Sierra Campus, <br />generally situated on beth sides of Pierce Street northerly of Collett Avenue, in Zone <br />RA; and determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse effect on the <br />environment. It was determined that the City Council ~ould not set the matter for <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />ZONINC CASE C-22-878 (REVISED) - EARl SCHEIB, INC. - 10835 HOLE <br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on Novem- <br />her 17, 1988, the Commission, b~ a yore of 9 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to cOndi- <br />tions =he request of Earl Schetb, Inc., Zoning Case C-22-878 (Revised), for a revised <br />conditional use permit to establish an automotive paint and bo~y facility on approxi- <br />mately 0.33 acre of land at 10835 Hole Avenue, formerly developed with an automobile <br />sale lot, situated on the northwesterly comer of Hole and Mitchell Avenues, in Zone <br />C-3; and determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse effect on =he <br />environment. It was determined that the City Council ~ould not set the matter for <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />ZONING CASE C-21-889 - MOWhER CORP., ET AL. - 5655 VAN BUREN <br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on Novem- <br />ber 17, 1988, the Commission, by a vote of 9 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi- <br />tions the request of Moblet Corp., et al., Zoning Case C-21-889, for a conditional use <br />permit to establish an automotive accessol-y sales and installation service within an ex- <br />isting shopping center at 5655 Van Buren Boulevard, situated on the easterly side of Van <br />Buren Boulevard southerly of Jackson Street, in Zone C-2; and determined that the <br />proposal would not have a significant adverse effect on the environment.
