<br />The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to
<br />those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for con-
<br />sideration; with the exception of Notice of Completion for Fourteenth Street Median Is-
<br />land, recommended rejection of Bid No. 4355, and the reports regarding recreational and
<br />cultural needs and street lighting assessment fees, all of which were removed to the Dis-
<br />cussion Calendar.

<br />A communication ~as presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on Octo-
<br />ber 6, 1988, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi-
<br />tions the request of the City of Riverside, etal., Zoning Case C-45-878 (Revised), for
<br />a revised conditional use permit to establish an underground water reservoir and booster
<br />station for public utility purposes on approximately two vacant acres of land within the
<br />Lusk Highlander Specific Plan area, situated about 500 feet southwesterly of the exist-
<br />ing water reservoir approximately one-half mile westerly of Box Springs Boulevard and
<br />one-~alf mile southerly of the University City community on Lot 7 of tentatively-
<br />approved Tract 21166, in Zone RC, tentative Zone R-I-130 under Zoning Case R-55-878; and
<br />determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse effect on the environ-
<br />meat. It was determined that the City Council would not set the utter for public hear-
<br />ing.

<br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on Octo-
<br />ber 6, 1988, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi-
<br />tions the request of General Telephone Company of California, et al., Zoning Case
<br />C-16-889, for a conditional use permit to establish an underground, untoarmed telephone
<br />switching facility (vault) within Tentative Tract 21834 on an approximately 7,200-
<br />square-foot lot (Lot 61), situated on the northerly side of Van Buren Boulevard approxi-
<br />mately 2,000 feet easterly to Trautwein Road, in Zone R-1-65; and determined that the
<br />proposal would not have a significant adverse effect on the environment. It was deter-
<br />mined that the City Council would not set the matter for public hearing.

<br />ZONING CASE C-17-889 - D. MC CANDLESS, ET AL. - 2450 MARKET
<br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on Octo-
<br />ber 6, 1988, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi-
<br />tions the request of D. McCandless, etal., Zoning Case C-17-889, for a conditional use
<br />permit to convert an existing apartment building into a retirement center for approxi-
<br />mately 120 senior citizens in approximately 60 guest rooms, together with common dining
<br />and recreation facilities as ~ell as on-site parking at 2450 Market Street, situated on
<br />the easterly side of Market Street southeasterly of Fairmount Boulevard, in Zone R-3;
<br />and determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse effect on the envi-
<br />ronment. It was determined that the City Council would not set the matter for public
<br />hearing.
