A representa- <br /> tive of ~epst-Cola 8ottltng C~pany spoke t~ support of the proposed ~g=e~ent. ~o v=tt- <br /> te~ o~ oral protests ve=e presented. ~ollo~ dt~cu~sto~, ~he public hea=t~ va8 offt- Second ~X <br /> ctally closed. tall Ayes <br /> <br />The City Council approved the recommendations as presented; and Resolution No. 16942 of <br />the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, Approvtng the Purchase and Sale <br />of Real Property by the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Riverside Pursuant to That <br />Certain Disposition and Development Agreement by and Between the Redevelopment Agency of <br />the City of Riverside and Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of Los Angeles, Inc., was pre- <br />sented; and the title having. been read, and further reading waived by the unanimous con- <br />sent of Councilmembers present, was adopted. <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by Councilman Clarke. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />MINITIES <br />The Minutes of the Meeting of October 18, 1988, were approved as submitted. <br /> <br />:Motion <br />~Becond <br /> All Ayes <br /> <br />Motion <br />'Second <br />~All Ayes <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AT 3 P.M. <br /> <br /> FURTHER HEARING - DESIGNATION OF PRESERVATION DISTRICT - PROSPECT PLACE AREA - APPEAL - <br /> CONTINUED <br /> 3 P.M.--Further hearlng was called on the appeal of T & C Building of the decision of <br /> the Cultural Heritage Board in designating the Prospect Place area, generally bounded by <br /> Fourteenth Street, Orange Grove Avenue, Prospect Avenue and Main Street, as a Preserva- <br /> tion DIstrict. The hearing had been continued from November 25, 1986, when the Clty <br /> Council Utility Services/Land Use/Energy Development Committee was requested to meet <br /> with interested property owners, inspect the structures included in the proposed Dis- <br /> trict, and present its recommendations to the City Council. The hearing bad been fur- <br /> ther continued from time to time since January 20, 1987, and most recently from Septem- <br /> ber 13, 1988, at the recommendation of the Committee to allow time for review of the <br /> traffic study being done for the Riverside Community College area.
