<br />The Minutes of the Meetings of September 27, 1988, were approved as submitted.
<br />
<br />PRESENTATIONS
<br />
<br />Mayor Brown presented a Proclamation to Bill Carnahan, Public Utilities Director, pro-
<br />claiming October 9-15, 1988, as Public Power Week in the City of Riverside.
<br />
<br />Messrs. Chet Gilbert and Roland Lex gave a briefing and invitation to Mayor Brown and
<br />the City Councilmembers for Veterans Day activities planned for November 10, 11 and 12,
<br />1988, commemorating ten years of service of the Veterans Administration Cemetery in Riv-
<br />erside.
<br />
<br />Following the briefing, the City Council requested the Mayor to issue a Proclamation
<br />to Messrs. Gilbert and Lex proclaiming the week of November 11, 1988, as Veteran's
<br />Week·
<br />
<br />The CHair recognized the presence in the audience of Mary Moreland representing the Arl-
<br />ington Clamber of Commerce, Chuck Keating representing the Magnolia Center Chamber of
<br />Commerce, Chuck CHandler representing the Hunter Park-Northside Chamber of Commerce and
<br />Gary Cordrey representing the University-Canyon Crest Chamber of Commerce.

<br />CONSENT CALENDAR
<br />The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to
<br />those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for con-
<br />sideration; with the exception of the report regarding the Tyler Mall Environmental Im-
<br />pact Repor~ which was removed to the Discussion Calendar, and the cHange in the hearing
<br />date relative to the Joint hearing of the City Council and the Redevelopmeut Agency con-
<br />cerning the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company, as indicated on Page 74-126.
