The Mayor and Councilmembers reconvened in the Council Chamber. PARKING, INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT, AND ECONOMIC DEVELOP- MENT AUTHORITIES The City Council recessed for the purpose of sitting as the Parking Authority, the Industrial Development Authority, and the Economic Development Authority. There being no business to be conducted, the meetings were adjourned; and the body reconvened as the City Council. PUBLIC HEARINGS AT 3 P.M. ZONING CASE RZ-020-989 - 4139-75 V AN BUREN - CONTINUED 3 P.M.--Hearing was called on the proposal of Thomas Hunt, on behalf of Harvest Christian Fellowship, to place approximately .8 acre developed with a small commercial building at 4139-75 Van Buren Boulevard, situated on the easterly side of Van Buren Boulevard, southerly of California Avenue in Zone C-2 and remove same from Zone RO with the City Council to also consider supplementing the requested zoning with Zones Sand X. The City Council will also consider the determination by the Planning Commission that the proposed project will not have a Motion X significant effect on the environment and that a Negative Declaration be adopted. Second X At the request of staff, the public hearing was continued to July 27, 1999, at 2 p.m. All Ayes CASE SP-005-989 - HUNTER BUSINESS PARK SPECIFIC PLAN 3 P.M.--Hearing was called on the proposal of the City of Riverside to amend the Hunter Business Park Specific Plan to redesignate that portion of Columbia Avenue between Iowa Avenue and the proposed north-south collector street from a 134- foot-wide arterial to a 110-foot-wide arterial. No protests were presented. Following discussion, the public hearing was officially closed. The City Council approved Case SP-005-989 subject to the conditions as recommended by the Planning Commission, adopted the staff report and environmental assessment as findings; upheld the Planning Commission's determination that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment and concurred in the adoption of a Negative Declaration; found there is no evidence that the proposed project will have any potential for adverse effect on wildlife resources and the impacts of the project are found to be de minimis pursuant to Section 711.4 of the Fish and Game Code; Motion X and requested the Legal Department to prepare the appropriate resolution within Second X 30 days.
