<br />Mayor Frizzel presented a Proclamation to Bill Jones of the Museum Coordinatin8 Commit-
<br />tee and Chairman of Cultural Awareness Week activities proclaimtr~ May 14-20, 1990, as
<br />Cultural A~areness Week in the City of Riverside.
<br />
<br />Mayor Frizzel presented a Proclamation to Jack Clarke, on behalf of Susan J. Hafner, Gen-
<br />eral Manager of Riverside Transit Agency, proclaimtr~ Wednesday, May 16, 1990, as Tran-
<br />sit Appreciation Day in the City of Riverside.

<br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Mark Anderson representing the Riv-
<br />erside Chamber of Commerce, Romayne Chinnock representir~ the ArlinSton Chamber of Com-
<br />merce, Sandy Taylor representing the La Sierra Chamber of Commerce, a representative of
<br />the MaSnolia Center Chamber of Commerce, Herrick Johnson representtn~ the Hunter Park-
<br />Northside Chamber of Commerce and Jim Benderson representing the University-Canyon Crest
<br />Chamber of Commerce.

<br />CONSENT CALENDAR

<br />tion, were approved by one motion affirmin~ the actions appropriate to each item; ~rlth
<br />COuncilman Buster requesting his vote be sho~n as 'No" on the acceptance of Earth Day
<br />1990 donations.

<br />ZONING CASE MP-5-867 (REVISED) - CITY OF RIVERSIDE - 8095 AND 8181 LINCOLN
<br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advisin~ that, on
<br />April 19, 1990, the Commission, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi-
<br />tions the request of the City of Riverside, Zon/ng Case MP-5-867 (Revised), for an indus-
<br />trial plot plan proposed for revision by incorporating an approximately ll,O00-squere-
<br />foot maintenance shop buildin~ for the Fire Department w~thin the axistint approximately
<br />40-acre City Corporation Yard and Police facility at 8095 and 8181 Lincoln Avenue, situ-
<br />ated on the northwest side of Lincoln Avenue northeasterly of ~ams Street, in Zone MP;
<br />and determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse effect on the envi-
<br />ronment. It was determined that the City Council would not set the matter for public
<br />hearing.

<br />ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION COMMISSION

<br />CASE EPC-31-790 (REVISED) - PROPOSED GRADING PLAN - 4671 LADERA
<br />A communication was presented from the Environmental Protection Commission advisin8
<br />that, on April 25, 1990, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, determined that,
<br />although a proposed revised gradin~ plan for a si~le-family residence at 4671 Ladera
<br />Lane, situated on the south side of Ladera Lane westerly of Indian Hill Road, in Zone
<br />R-1-65, could have a significant effect on the environment, there will not be a signifi-
<br />cant effect in this case if certain mitigating measures are required as part of the con-
<br />ditions of approval of the project, Case EPC-31-790 (Revised). The Commission's finding
<br />was upheld by the City Council.

<br />CASE EPC-62-890 - PROPOSED GRADING FLAN, TENTATIVE TRACT 21188 - OVERLOOK EASTERLY OF
<br />WASHINGTON AT GOLDEN STAR
<br />A communication was presented from the Environmental Protection Commission advising
<br />that, on April 25, 1990, the Commission, by a vote of 6 ayes to 0 noes and 1 abstention,
<br />determined that, although a proposed grading plan for Tentative Tract 21188, a proposed
<br />subdivision of 17.3 acres of land into approximately nine single-family residential
<br />lots, situated on the northerly side of Overlook Parkway (extended) easterly of Washing-
<br />ton Street at Golden Star Avenue (extended), in Zone RC, could have a significant effect
<br />on the environment, there will not be a significant effect in this case if certain miti-
<br />gatinE measures are required as part of the conditions of approval of the project, Case
<br />EPC-62-890. The Commfssion's finding was upheld by the City Council.
