Pho=ographs taken during a 2~-hour <br /> period will be shown and sold at a celebrity Mated event with all proceeds going to the <br /> March of Dimes. <br /> <br /> Mayor Frizzel presenced a Proclamation to Bob Parks of ~he Greater Riverside Chambers of <br /> Commerce, proclaiming May 7-12, 1990, as Small Business Week. Mr. Parks is the winner <br /> of the Chamber of Commerce SinaI1 Business Award for 1990. <br /> <br /> Mayor Frizzel presented a Proclamation to Dr. Kenneth Randall, Superintendent, and Zibby <br /> Bayarsky of the California School for the Deaf proclaiming May 1990 as Deaf Awareness <br /> Month in the City of Riverside. <br /> <br /> Mayor Frizzel presented a Proclamation to Bill Dougall, HisCoric Resources Director, on <br /> behalf of the Cultural Heritage Board, and representatives of the Cultural Heritage <br /> Board, Downtows Renaissance, Friends of the Mission Inn, Mission Inn Foundation, Old Riv- <br /> erside Foundation, Riverside Arts Foundation aria Riverside Downtown Associatiou~ pro- <br /> claiming May 13-19, 1990, as National Historic Preservation Week in the City of River- <br /> side. <br /> <br /> The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Dieroe Castleman representing the <br /> Riverside and che Universitr-Canyon Crest Chambers of Commerce, Jane Rawlings represent- <br /> ing the Arlington Chamber of Comaerce', Ralph Mahaffey representing the La Sierra Chamber <br /> of Cmerce, Tullos Baugh representing the Magnolia Center Chamber of C~mnerce and Steve <br /> Berry representing the Hunter Park-Northside Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br /> CONSENT. Second ,X, <br /> All Ayes <br /> <br /> PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> COMPLETION - MOUNTAIN VIEW SUBSTATION DRIVEWAY <br /> In consideration of the recommendation from the Public Works Department, the work of re- <br /> constructing the Mountain View Substation driveway, located at 5695 Mountain View Ave- <br /> nue, by Gosney Construction, was accepted as completed; and execu=ion of the Notice of <br /> Completion was authorized and directed. <br /> <br /> PURCHASING SERVICES MANAGER <br /> <br /> BID NO. ~591 - CLARIFIER RETROFIT PARTS - PUBLIC WORKS DEPT., SEWERAGE SYSTEMS DIV. <br /> In consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasing Services Manager and the Pub- <br /> lic Works Department, the bid of Hitachi Maxco, Ltd., in the amount of ~19,882.11, was <br /> accepted for furnishing and delivering to the Public Works Department, Sewerage Systems <br /> Division, clarifier retrofit parts. All other bids were rejected; and the Purchasing <br /> Services Manager was authorized to proceed with the purchase by Purchase Order. <br /> <br /> BID NO. 4602 - CENTRAL/CANYON CREST TRUNK SEWER EXTENSION <br /> In consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasing Services Manager and the Pub- <br /> lic Works Department, the bid of Kershaw Construction Company, Inc., in the amount of <br /> ~2~8,500, was accepted for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment for che work <br /> of constructing ~he Central/Canyon Crest Trunk Sewer extension.
