Motion ~X~ <br /> Second <br /> All Ayes <br /> <br />The Chair recognized the presence of Terri Thompson representing the La Sierra Chamber <br />of Commerce, 3san Mansfield representing the Magnolia Center Chamber of Commerce, a rep- <br />resentative of the Hunter Park-Northside Chamber of Commerce, James Henderson represent- <br />ing the University-Canyon Crest Chamber of ~ommerce and Andres Soto representing the <br />Greater Riverside Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to <br />those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for con- <br />sideration; with the exception of the Draft fIR for UCR campus, and the reports regard- <br />iag renewal of contract with Crawford and Company, the Fourth of July fireworks show and <br />Pluncer Business Park Assessment District, all of which were removed to the Discussion Motion <br />Calendar; and with the addition to the report regarding increased external audit require- Second <br />meat, as indicated on Page 75-362. All Ayes <br /> <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />ZONING CASE MP-11-867 (REVISED) - MANHEIM AUCTIONS, DBA RIVERSIDE AUTO AUCTION - <br />6~46 FREMONT <br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on <br />February 8, 1990, the Commission, hy a vote of 6 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to con- <br />ditions the request of Manheim Auctions, dba Riverside Auto Auction, for a revised indus- <br />trial plot plan to add a proposed 30,000-square-foot concrete tilt-up industrial build- <br />ins on an approximatel~ three-acre undeveloped portion of the existing auction site e <br />(which encompasses approximately 59 partially vacant and partially developed acres) and <br />a proposal to demolish a portion of the existing building at 6~6 Fremont Street; and de- <br />termined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse effect' on the environ- <br />meat. The entire site is situated on both sides of Fremont Street between Jurupa and <br />Central Avenues in Zone MP. It was determined that the City Council would not set the <br />matter for public hearing. <br /> <br />PURCHASING SERVICES MANAGER <br /> <br />BID NO. 457~ - DIGGER DERRICK UTILITY TRUCKS - PUBLIC UTILITIES DEPT., ELECTRIC DIV. <br />In consideration of the recommendation of the Purchasing Services Manager, the Public <br />Utilities Department, the Fleet Manegsment Superintendent and the Board of Public Utili- <br />ties, the bid of California Utility Equipment, Inc., in the amount of ~265,399.72, was <br />accepted for furnishing the Public Utilities Department, Electric Division, with two cur- <br />rent model digger derrick utility trucks. All other bids were rejected; and the Purchas- <br />ing Services Manager was authorized to proceed with the purchase by Purchase Order. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />SETTING JOINT PUBLIC HEARING WITH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY - DISPOSITION AND DEVELOPMENT <br />AGREEMENT FOR LOT AT 3188 ORANGE IN RIVERSIDE MALL AND WHITE PARK REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT <br />AREA <br />A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Development Director, con- <br />curred in by the Assistant Cit~ Manager-Development, recommending that the City Council <br />set a Joint public hearing with the Redevelopmeat Agency for March 20, 1990, at <br />1:30 p.m., to consider a Disposition and Development Agreement wit.h Lester L. and Jean- <br />nine L. Smith for the acquisition of a lot at 3188 Orange Street in the Riverside Mall <br />and White Park Redevelopmeat Project Area.
