Council Chamber, City Hall Roll Call: The Invocation was given by Pastor Ron Halvorson, Bethel Christian Center. The Pledge. of Allegiance was given to the Flag. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meetings of January 9, 1990, were approved as submitted. CANVASS OF ELECTION RETURNS - SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION This being the time and place fixed for the report of the Assistant City-Clerk on the canvass of the returns of the Special Municipal Election held on the 9th day of January, 1990, the Mayor called upon the Assistant City Clerk to read the results of said canvass of returns of said Election as heretofore authorized by Resolution of the City Council. Following presentation of the certification of the results by the Assistant City Clerk, the following actions were taken: 'X'X'X'X'X'X'X; Present , , , , , , , Motion Second All Ayes SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION - DECLARING THE RESULTS - RESOLUTION Resolution No. 17350 of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, Recit- ing the Fact of the Special Municipal Election Held on the 9th Day of January, 1990, in the City of Riverside to Elect a Mayor and Two Members of the City Council From; the Fourth and Sixth Wards of Said City; and Declaring the Result Thereof and Such, Other Matters as Are Provided by Law, was presented; which declared that, as the re-, suit of said election, Bob Buster was elected as Member of the City Council from thei Fourth Ward, Terri Thompson was elected as Member of the City Council from the Sixthl Ward, and Teresa R. (Terry) Frizzel was elected as Mayor of the City of Riverside,l each to serve for the full term of four years; and the title of the Resolution having~ Motion been read, and further reading waived by the unanimous consent of Councilmembers SecOnd present, was adopted and ordered set forth in full in the Minutes. All Ayes OATH OF OFFICE AND LOYALTY OATH The Assistant City Clerk administered the Oath of Office and Loyalty Oath to newly, , elected Mayor Frizzel and newly elected Councilman Buster and Councilwoman Thompson. , , Councilman Bowers seated newly elected Councilman Buster, Councilman DiEati seated{ newly elected Councilwoman Thompson, and Mayor Brown seated newly elected Mayor Friz-[ zel.
