<br />CONSENT CALENDAR
<br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for considera-
<br />tion, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item.

<br />ENVIRONMENTAL'PROTECTION COMMISSION
<br />
<br />DRAFT EIR FOR GROWTlt MANAGEMENT ELEMENT OF RIVERSIDE COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE GENERAL PLAN
<br />A communication was presented from the Environmental Protection Commission advising
<br />that, on October 24, 1990, the Commission reviewed a Draft Environmental Impact Report
<br />for the Growth Management Element of the R/verside County Comprehensive General Plan;
<br />and, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes and i disqualification, determined that (1) the DEIR
<br />prepared for the County's Growth Management Element adequately addresses the impacts of
<br />the plan policies; and (2) this recommendation be forwarded to the City Council for ap-
<br />proval and, in turn, to the County of Riverside for their consideration. The City Coun-
<br />cil upheld the Commission's recommendations.

<br />CASE EPC-37-901 - PROPOSED DEMOLITION OF PROPERTY FOR RIVERSIDE MARKETPLACE SPECIFIC PLAN
<br />A communication was presented from the Environmental Protection Commission advising
<br />that, on October 24, 1990, the Commission, by a vote of 9 ayes to 0 noes, determined
<br />that, although the proposed demolition of approximately 194,000 square feet of commer-
<br />cial/industrial space and 19 residential units as a necessary prerequisite for construc-
<br />tion for the Riverside Marketplace Specific Plan could have a significant effect on the
<br />enviroement, there will not be a significant effect in this case if certain mitigating
<br />measures are required as part of the -conditions of approval of the project, Case
<br />EPC-37-901. The City Council upheld the Commission's finding.

<br />TRACT MAP 22408-1 - WEST OF HIGHWAY 60/I-215 SOUTHERLY OF CENTRAL - RESOLUTION
<br />The Faithful Performance Bonds of Lusk-Highlander, as principal, and The American Insur-
<br />ance Company, as surety, in the amounts of ,3,340,700 for Construction, and ,467,254 and
<br />,16,915 for Landscape; together with the Labor and Material Bonds, executed by the prin-
<br />cipal and surety as listed above, in the amounts of ~1,670,350 for Construction, and
<br />~233,627 and ~8,458 for Landscape; together with their Agreements guaranteeing the com-
<br />pletion of streets, curbs, gutters, landscape, and all other improvements described on
<br />the Final Map of Tract 22408-1, located ~est of Highway 60/I-215 southerly of Central Av-
<br />enue, were approved and accepted.

<br />Resolution No. 17624 of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, Accepting
<br />the Official Map of Tract 22408-1, consisting of 13 sheets, in the City of Riverside,
<br />County of Riverside, State of California, being a subdivision of a portion of Section 4,
<br />Township 3 South, Range 4 West, San Bernardino Meridian, and a portion of Section 33,
<br />Township 2 South, Range 4 West, San Bernardino Meridian; together with the streets and
<br />easements as shown thereon; together with any variances as to lot area, building area or
<br />yard requirements approved by the Planning Commission; and authorizing'the City Clerk to
<br />attest said Map, was presented; and the title having been read, and further reading
<br />waived by the unanimous consent of Councilmembers present, was adopted.
