CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> <br /> COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br /> "'" """"" <br />Minutes of Emergency Meeting of the City Council ~,~'~ <br />Date of Meeti~: October 12, 1990 X~ ~%~ ,,, ~,,, ,,, <br />Time of Meeting: 2 P.M. <br />P~i~ ~ ~: Council Chambe~ C~tv Hall WARDS <br /> <br /> , . , ~X,X~X~X <br />Roll Call: Present ,X X X <br /> <br />~yor Frizzel called the emergency meeting of the City Council to order, and announced <br />that the purpose of the meeting is to consider the request for d~olition of the build- <br />i~ located at 3743 Seventh Street. <br /> <br />The Assistant City ~nage~Development, the Building Official, the Fire Chief and the <br />Chief Assistant City Attorney descried the da~erous condition of the historic Loring <br />Opera House as the result of severe damage from fire and the necessity for City Council <br />action on the matter. <br /> <br />Chief Assistant City Attorney Herring advised the City Council that, prior to commence- <br />ment of the proceedings, the City served Mr. Reed Phelps, representative of the o~er of <br />the property at 3743 Seventh Street, ~th a Notice from the Building Official of the Ex- <br />istence of Dangerous Buildings, as well as ~th a Certificate of Existence of Dangerous <br />Buildings. Mr. Herring also requested that the record show t~t Mr. Reed Phelps was <br />present at this emergency City Council meeting. <br /> <br />FolloWrig discussion, the City Council approved the Declaration of Local Emergency as Motion <br />read into the record by the Chief Assistant City Attorney, and ordered it filed for Second ~X~ <br />record in the office of the City Clerk.
