<br />PRESENTATION
<br />Mayor Frizzel called on Meiko Inaba, President of the Japanese American Citizens League,
<br />and Senda~, Japan, Trainee Yoichi Hags as a representative of Mayor Toru Ishii of Sen-
<br />dai, who helped present a proclamation from the cities of Riverside and Sendai to Mark
<br />Thompson, a representative of T & S Development, in appreciation of their outstanding
<br />contribution to the annual Sendai Festival held in Riverside in October.
<br />
<br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Don Pulsifer representing the Arl-
<br />ington Chamber of Commerce, Ruth Christensen representing the La Sierra Chamber of Com-
<br />merce, Ricki NcManuis representtn~ the Magnolia Center Chamber of Commerce and Chuck
<br />Chandler representing the Hunter Park-Northside Chamber of Commerce.

<br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for considera-
<br />tion, were approved by one motion affirmin~ the actions appropriate to each item.

<br />ZONING CASE C-17-689 (REVISED) - OLIVEWOOD CEMEI~RY - 3300 CENTRAL
<br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advlsing that, on Septem-
<br />ber 20, 1990, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi-
<br />tions the request of Olivewood Cemetery, Zoning Case C-17-689 (Revised), for a revised
<br />conditional use permit to establish an above-ground fuel storage tank to serve the ap-
<br />proximately 70 acre Olivewood Cemetery at 3300 Central Avenue, situated on the north and
<br />south sides of Central Avenue easterly of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad and
<br />the Riverside (91) Freeway, in Zones RC and R-l-80; and determined that the proposal
<br />would not have a significant adverse environmental effect. The ConnE[ssion's approval
<br />was upheld by the City Council.

<br />ZONING CASE C-5-767 (REVISED) - ST. IGNATIUS OF ANTIOCH CHURCH - 5570 TYLER
<br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on Septem-
<br />ber 20, 1990, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi-
<br />tions the request of St. Ignatius of Antioch Church, Zoning Case C-5-767 (Revised), for
<br />a revised conditional use permit to install an approximately 1,~0-square-foot modular
<br />buildin~ for classroom and fellowship purposes for up to ten years on approximately
<br />acre at 5570 Tyler Street, developed with a church and related facilities, situated at
<br />the south comer of Campbell Avenue and Tyler Street, in Zone R-1-65; and determined
<br />that the proposal would not have a significant adverse effect on the environment. THe
<br />Commission's approval was upheld by the City Council.

<br />ZONING CASE C-11-901 - DELPHUS AND MARY ANN MONTAGUE - 1555 BRADLEY
<br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on Septem-
<br />ber 20, 1990, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi-
<br />tions the request of Delphus and Mary Ann Montague, Zoning Case C-11-901, for a condi-
<br />tional use permit to establish an auxiliary dwelling unit (granny flat) on approximately
<br />2.1 acres at 1555 Bradley Street, developed with a residence, situated on the north side
<br />of Bradley Street easterly of Washington Street, in Zones R-l-130 and WC; and determined
<br />that the proposal would not have a significant adverse effect on the environment. THe
<br />Commission's approval was upheld by the City Council.
