Motion Second ;All Ayes The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Bill D~e representing the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Wendell Tucker representing the La Sierra Chamber of Comerce, Rickl Mc~annis representing the Magnolia Center Chamber of C~erce, Chuck Chandler rep- resenting the Hunter Park-Northside Chamber of Commerce and Richard Lealre representing the University-Canyon Crest Chamber of C~erce. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for considera- tion, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item; vith Councilmembers Buster and Thompson requesting their votes be shown as 'No' on the lease agreement regarding City property at Tequesquite and Palm Avenues. CITY PLANNING COMMISSION ZONING CASE C-23-590 (REVISED) - RIVERSIDE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT - 5450 VICTORIA A comzaunication was presented from the City Planning Cc~w~ssion advising that, on July 5, 1990, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to conditions the request of Riverside Unified School District, Zoning Case C-23-590 (Revised), for a revised conditional use permit to establish a natural gas-fired cogener- atiou and waste heat recovery system to conver~ natural gas to electricity for use at Riverside Polytechnic High School at 5450 Victoria Avenue, an approximately 40-acre cam- pus situated at the southeast comer of Central and Victoria Avenues in Zone R-1-65; and determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse effect on the environ- ment. The cogeneration unit is to be oriented toward the interior of the campus adja- cent to the school r~nnasiom- The Commission's approval was upheld by the City Council. ZONING CASE C-22-634 (REVISED) - RIVERSIDE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT - 1550 THIRD A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on July 5, 1990, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi- tions the request of Riverside Unified School District, Zoning Case C-22-634 (Revised), for a revised conditional use permit to establish a natural gas-fired cogeneration and waste heat recovery system to convert natural gas to electricity for use at North High School at 1550 Third Street, an approximately 43-acre campus situated on the east side of Chicago Avenue betwaen Third and Linden Streets in Zone R-1-65; and determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse effect on the environment. The cogen- eration unit is to be oriented toward the middle of the campus adjacent to the swimming pool complex. The Commission's approval was upheld by the City Council. ZONING CASE C-43-701 (REVISED) - RIVERSIDE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT - 2951 JACKSON A cmmunication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, o~ July 5, 1990, the' Commission, by a vote of 7 eyes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi- tions the request of Riverside Unified School District, Zoning Case C-43-701 (Revised), for a revised conditional use permit to establish a natural gas-fired cogeneration and waste heat recovery system to convert natural gas to electricity for its own use at Ar- lington High School at 2951 Jackson Street, an approximately 47-acre campus situated at the north comer of Jackson Street and Lincoln Avenue in Zone R-1-65; and determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse elfeat on the environment. The cogeneration unit is ~o be oriented toward the interior of the campus adjacent to the school gymnasium. The CounrLssion's approval was upheld by the City Council.
