WARDS <br />..... ~ ~ ,~ ~~, ,~ ~;,. ~ ~, ~ ....................................................................... <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by the Reverend Rhonda Crites, Bethel Christian Center. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meetings of June 22, 23 and 26, 1990, were approved as submitted. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br /> <br />Mayor Frizzel introduced Jim Berryhill, representing the Maintenance Superintendents As- <br />sociation of the Inland Empire, who presented the Man of the Year Award to Dick Clel- <br />land, Street Maintenance Superintendent of the Public Works Department. <br /> <br />Mayor Frizzel -and Fire Chief Greene recognized Sarah Leger of Arizona Intermediate <br />School and Vanessa Solis of La Grenade Elementary School who received top honors in a <br />statewide Anti-Arson Essay Contest, sponsored by the California Arson Prevention Commit- <br />tee. <br /> <br />Acting City Manager Wales introduced the new Management Interns for the City Manager's <br />Office, Stacey Mosteller and Siobhan Warren. <br /> <br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Vern Cunninghem representing the <br />Riverside and Hunter Park-Northside Chambers of Co--,erce, Temi Hadfield representing the <br />Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Doug Wardle representing the La Sierra Chamber of Com- <br />merce and Captain Zoli representing the Magnolia Center Chamber of Co-werce. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for considera- <br />tion, were approved by one motion affirmin~ the actions appropriate to each item. <br /> <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />ZONING CASE C-32-701 (REV.) - QUEEN ANNE CIRCLE HOMEOgNERS ASSOC. - 4801-A833 JACKSON <br />A c~unication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on <br />June 21, 1990, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi- <br />tions the request of Queen Anne Circle Homeowners Association, Zoning Case C-32-701 (Re- <br />vised), for a revised conditional use permit to construct an approximately six-foot-high <br />fence with security gates alon~ the Jackson Street frontage on approximately 5.2 acres <br />of land at 4801-4833 Jackson Street, developed with a 136-unit residential condominium <br />complex, open space and parking, situated on the northeasterly side of Jackson Street ap- <br />proximately ~25 feet southeasterly of Van Buren Boulevard, in Zone R-1-65. A variance <br />has been requested to allow the fence to be located within the front yard setback. The <br />Commission's approval was upheld by the City Council. <br /> <br />ZONING CASE C-29-823 (REVISED) - A. C. NEJEDLY - 7200 INDIANA <br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on <br />June 21, 1990, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi- <br />tions the request of A. C. NeJedly, Zoning Case C-29-823 (Revised), for a revised condi- <br />tionul use permit to expand an existing mini-storage facility to include an approxi- <br />mately 5,120-square-foot addition to an existing mini-storage building on approximately <br />1.97 acres of land at 7200 Indiana Avenue, situated on the southeast side of Indiana Ave- <br />nue southwesterly of Washington Street, in Zone C-3; and determined that the proposal <br />would not have a significant adverse effect on the environment.
