All Ayes <br /> <br /> The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Bill Dye representing the Arlington <br /> Chamber of Commerce, Joy Kentfield representing the La Sierra Chamber of Commerce, Tullos <br /> Baugh representing the Magnolia Center Chamber of Commerce, Chris Duerr representing the <br /> Hunter Park-Northside Chamber of Commerce and R/chard Lemire representing ~he University- <br /> Canyon Crest Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for considera- <br /> tion, were approved by one motion affirmin~ the actions appropriate to each item, with <br /> the exception of the repor~ from the ParkinS, Traffic and Streets Commission regarding Motion ,X, <br /> removal of the 35-m/les-per-hour speed limit on Via Vista Drive, which was removed from Second <br /> the Agenda. All Ayes <br /> <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION COMMISSION <br /> <br /> DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT - PROPOSED JOINT ACQUISITION OF TEMESCAL WATER COM- <br /> PANY - CITIES OF RIVERSIDE AND CORONA AND LEE LAKE WATER DISTRICT <br /> A communication was presented from ~he Environmental Protection Commission advising <br /> that, on February 13, 1991, the Commission reviewed a Draft Environmental Impact Report <br /> (DEIR) for the proposed Joint acquisition of the Temescal Water Company by the Cities of <br /> Riverside and Corona and the Lee Lake Wa~er Dis=ricE; and, by a vote of 8 ayes =o 0 noes <br /> and 2 disqualifications, (1) determined that ~he EIR adequately addresses ~he environmen- <br /> tal impacts of the proposed acquisition of the Temescal Water Company by ~he JPA parties <br /> and that there will be no significant adverse impacts as a result o[ this action| and <br /> (2) directed staff to forward this reco-,nendation to the City Council for its concur- <br /> rence and, in =urn, to the City of Corona for i~s consideration. The City Council up- <br /> held the Commission's recommendations. <br /> <br /> CASE EPC-55-901 - PROPOSED GRADING PLAN - 5021 MYRTLE <br /> A comanunication was presented from =he Environmental Pro=action Commission advising <br /> that, on February 13, 1991, ~he Commission, bg a vote of 10 ayes ~o 0 noes, determined <br /> that, although a proposed Srading plan for a single-family residence on an approximately <br /> one-acre vacant lot located at 5021 Myrtle Avenue, ~enerally siguated on =he northerly <br /> side of Myrtle Avenue westerly of Victoria Avenue, in Zones R-1-125 and O, could have a <br /> significan~ effect on the environment, there will not be a significant effect in this <br /> case if certain mitigating measures are required as par~ of the conditions; and recom- <br /> mended that =he City Council adopt a Negative Declaration, Case EPC-55-901. The Commis- <br /> sion's finding was upheld by the City Council, and the Negative Declaration was adopted. <br /> <br /> CASE EPC-58-901 - PROPOSED WIDENING OF JURUPA BETWEEN PALM AND DEERFIELD <br /> A communication was presented from the Environmental Protection Commission advising <br /> that, on February 13, 1991, the Commission, by a vote of 10 ayes to 0 noes, determined <br /> that, although the proposal of the Public ~4orks Department to widen approximately one <br /> mile of Jutups Avenue between Palm Avenue and Deerfield Road could have a significant ef- <br /> fect on the environment, there will not be a significant effect in this case if certain <br /> mitiSating measures are required as par= of the conditions; and recommended that ~he <br /> City Council adopt a Negative Declaration, Case EPC-58-901. The Commission's finding <br /> was upheld by the City Council, and the Negative Declaration was adopted. <br /> <br /> PURCHASING SERVICES MANAGER <br /> <br /> BID NO. 4698 - TYLER MALL COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT 90-2 - CONTINUED <br /> In consideration of the recommendation from the Public Works Director, the award of the <br /> contract for the work of constructing Tyler Mall Community Facilitie~ District 90-2, Bid <br /> m No. 4698, was continued to'March 12, 1991. <br /> 76-323 <br /> <br /> <br />
