FURTHER ~EARING - ZONING CASE V-126-823 (REVISED) - 3590-3640 CENTRAL - APPEAL - CONT.
3 P.M.--Further hearing was called on the appeal of Shari L. Reed, Vice President, Com-
mercial Properties, Realty Center Management, Incorporated, on behelf of Riverside CPI,
Ltd., relative to the decision of the Board of Admin/strative Appeals and Zor~Lng Adjust-
ment regarding their request for the following revised variances for a revised cemprehen-
sire sign program for an approximately 5.8-acre commercial/office complex at 3590
through 3640 Central Avenue, situated on the south side of Central Avenue between San Di-
ego and De Anza Avenues, in Zones C-2, P and RO| (A) to allow an approximately
47-square-foot, 20-foot-high, four-sided, freestanding sign identifying an office/commer-
cial complex where no such sip is permitted (only one 40-square-foot, eight-foot-high
identification monument sign identifying the name of the commercial complex or the name
of one tenant is permitted) and other freestanding signs already exist on this property;
(B) to allow an approximately 18-square-foot, six-foot-high secondary identification mon-
ument sign where no such sign is permitted; (C) to allow a 17-square-foot, sirfoot-high
secondary freestanding identification sign where no such sign is permitted; (D) to allow
two approximately lOS-square-foot canopy signs identifying the commercial complex where
only occupancy signs are permitted; and (E) to delete a previously approved condition
prohibiting additional building identification signs above the first floor, Zoning Case
V-126-823 (Revised). This request modifies a previous variance approved for this commer-
cial/office complex. The appellant is appealing the denial of Variance (A). The hear-
ing had been continued from December 4, 1990, and referred to the City Council Utility
Services/Land Use/Energy Development Committee for review and recommendation. In consid-
eration of the request of the Land Use Committee, the hearing was further continued to
February 5, 1991, at 2 p.m.

FURTHER HEARING - ZONING CASE V-92-901 - 6910 StNDTRACK - APPEAL GRANTED - RESOLUTION
3 P.M.--Further hearing was called on the appeal of Debbie OJeda from the decision of
the Board of Administrative Appeals and Zoning Adjustment in denying her request for the
following minor variance to legalize an existing six-foot-high block wall and 12-foot-
high gate for a single-family residence at 6910 Sandtrack Road, situated on the east
side of Sandtrack Road northerly of Caulfield Court, in Zone RC: to allow an approxi-
mately six-foot-high block wall and an approximately 12-foot-high gate within the re-
quired 30-foot front yard setback where a maximum height of three feet is permitted,
Zoning Case V-92-901. The hearing had been continued from January 8, 1991, to allow
Councilman Buster to view the property. Following a brief discussion, the hearing was
officially closed. The appeal was granted, subject to the conditions listed in the at-
tachment to the communication from the Board of Administrative Appeals and Zoning Adjust-
ment pertaining to this case; it was determined that the granting of a variance, 'subject
to the reco~nended conditions, would not have a significant adverse impact on the envt-
ror~nent; the staff report and the envtromnental assessment were adopted as findings; and
Resolution No. 17673 of the Clty Council of the City of Riverside, California, Rendering
Its Decision Granting a Variance, was presented; and the tltle having been read, and fur-
ther reading waived by the unanimous consent of Councilmembers present, was adopted.
