CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Date of Meeting: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />May 25, 1999 <br />2 p.m. <br />Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSIONS <br />The Mayor and Councilmembers recessed to the City Council Board Room for <br />closed sessions pursuant to (1) Government Code §54957 for performance <br />evaluations of the City Manager and City Attomey; and (2) Government Code <br />§54956.9 to confer with and/or receive advice from legal counsel concerning the <br />claim of Delmer Miller and David Miller vs. City of Riverside, Riverside Police <br />Department, et al. <br /> <br />The Mayor and Councilmembers returned to the Council Chamber. <br /> <br />PARKING, INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT, AND ECONOMIC DEVELOP- <br />MENT AUTHORITIES <br />The City Council recessed for the purpose of sitting as the Parking Authority, the <br />Industrial Development Authority, and the Economic Development Authority. <br /> <br />There being no business to be conducted, the meetings were adjoumed; and the <br />body reconvened as the City Council. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEAR1NGS AT 3 P.M. <br /> <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT CONSOLIDATED PLAN - <br />1999-2000 ONE YEAR ACTION PLAN <br />3 P.M.--Hearing was called to consider the Draft Consolidated Plan and the 1999- <br />2000 One-Year Action Plan for the allocation of U.S. Department of Housing and <br />Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), <br />Emergency Shelter Grants (ESG), Housing Opportunities for Persons With Aids <br />(HOPWA), and HOME Investment Parmership Program funds. Several interested <br />persons spoke on the matter. No written protests were presented. Following <br />discussion, the public hearing was officially closed.
