Motion ~X <br /> Second <br /> All Ayes <br /> <br /> PRESENTATION <br /> Mayor Frizzel presented a proclamation to Mario Perez, President of the Hispanic Chamber <br /> of Commerce, proclaiming the week of September 15-21, 1991, as National Hispanic Heri- <br /> tage Week and, in conjunction with Mexican Independence Day, Monday, September 16, 1991, <br /> as National Hispanic Heritage Day. <br /> <br /> The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Carol Gudde representing the <br /> Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Lou Herrly representing the La Sierra Chamber of <br /> Commerce, Rick Clark representing the Magnolia Center Chamber of Commerce, Diana <br /> Castleman representing the University-Canyon Crest Chamber of Commerce and Cindy Hillman <br /> representing. the Downtown Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for considera- <br /> tion, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item; with Motion eX~ <br /> Councilman Loveridge requesting his vote be shown as "No" on the report regarding Reno- Second JXJ <br /> vations of Mayor's Office and City Council Chambers. All Ayes <br /> <br /> PLFRCHASING SERV. ICES MANAGER <br /> <br /> BID NO. 4833 - LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICES AT WATER QUALITY CONTROL PLANT AND LIFT <br /> STATION <br /> In consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasing Services Manager and the Pub- <br /> lic Works Department, the bid of Executive Landscape Contractors, Inc., in the amount of <br /> j37,000, was accepted for providing all labor, materials and equipment for landscape <br /> maintenance services at the City of Riverside Water Quality Control Plant and Lift Sta- <br /> tion for the period September 1, 1991, through June 30, 1992. All other bids were re- <br /> Jected, and the bonds submitted with said rejected bids were released from further lia- <br /> bility; the City Attorney was requested to prepare the necessary contract; and execution <br /> of the contract was authorized and directed upon approval by the City Attorney of the re- <br /> quired performance bonds. <br /> <br /> BID N0. 4824 - RAW SEWAGE PUMPING UNITS - PUBLIC WORKS DEPT., SEWERAGE SYSTEMS DIV. <br /> In consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasing Services Manager and the Pub- <br /> lic Works Department, the bid of F10-Systems, Inc., in the amount of ,283,008, was aC- <br /> cepted for providing and delivering to the Public Works Department, Sewerage Systems -I <br /> Division, two raw sewage pumping units. All other bids were rejected; and the Purchas- <br /> ing Services Manager was authorized to proceed with the purchase by Purchase Order. <br /> <br /> CITY PL{NAGER <br /> <br /> MULTI-SPECIES HABITAT CONSERVATION PLAN <br /> A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Assistant City Manager- <br /> Development recommending that the City Council (1) authorize the Mayor to submit the ap- <br /> propriate letter to the County Board of Supervisors requesting them to submit the Multi- <br /> Species Habitat Conservation Plan to the Riverside County Habitat Conservation Agency; <br /> and (2) request that the City Council Member serving on that Agency for the City of <br /> Riverside, Councilman Buster, advise the City with what actions are taken on this Plan <br /> as it goes through the Agency. The recommendations were approved as presented. <br /> <br /> lIEPAIR OF MUSEUM AND MUSEUM ANNEX ROOFS - FUND TRANSFER <br /> A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Assistant City Manager, <br /> concurred in by the Historic Resources Director, recommending that the City Council <br /> <br />77-98 <br /> <br /> <br />
