CRY OF RIVERSIDE The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Bill Gardner representing the Riverside Chamber of Commerce, Chris McKnight representing the Arlington Chamber of Com- merce, a representative of the La Sierra Chamber of Commerce, Educe Garrett representing the Magnolia Center Chamber of Commerce, Liuda Dizmon representing the Hunter Park- Northside Chamber of Commerce and Richard Lemire representing the University-Canyon Crest Chamber of Commerce. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for considera- tion, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item. CITY PLANNING COMMISSION ZONING CASE C-3-912 - MAX L. AND HELEN N. CARDEY - 2995 ELEVENTH A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on August 22, 1991, the Commission, contrary to the Planning Department's recommendation and by a vote of 4 ayes to 1 no, approved subject to conditions the request of Max L. and Helen N. Cardey, Zoning Case C-3-912, for a conditional use permit to establish a gas pump facility for the Royal Citrus Company on approximately .36 vacant acre of land at 2995 Eleventh Street, situated on the northeast corner of Eleventh and Howard Streets, in Zone M-l; and determined that the p~oposal would not have a significant ad- verse effect on the environment. The Commission's approval was upheld by the City Council. ZONING CASE C-4-912 - CITY OF RIVERSIDE - BLOCK BOUNDED BY DUFFERIN, VAN BUREN, FIRETHORN AND IRVING A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on August 22, 1991, the Commission, by a vote of 5 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to conditions the request of the City of Riverside, Zoning Case C-4-912, for a conditional use permit to establish a state park, the California Citrus State Historic Park, on approximately 387.46 acres of land situated in the block generally bounded by Dufferin Avenue on the northwest, Van Buren Boulevard on the southwest, Firethorn Avenue on the southeast and Irving Street on the northeast, in Zone RA-5. The Commission's approval was upheld by the City Council. ZONING CASE 0-1-912 - RIVERSIDE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT - 7675 MAGNOLIA A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on August 22, 1991, the Commission, by a vote of 6 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to conditions the proposed plot plan of the Riverside Unified School District, Zoning Case 0-1-912, to establish a natural gas fired cogeneration and waste heat recovery system to convert natural gas to electricity for its use at Ramona High School, an approximately 54.2-acre campus at 7675 Magnolia Avenue, situated at the northeast corner of Magnolia Avenue and Jefferson Street, in Zone O; and determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse effect on the environment. The Commission's approval was upheld by the City Council. BOARD OF ADMINISTRATIVE APPEALS AND ZONING ADJUSTMENT ZONING CASE V-59-745 (REVISED) - UNITED CALIFORNIA SAVINGS BANK - 3825 TYLER A communication was presented from the Board of Administrative Appeals and Zoning Ad- Justment advising that, on August 19, 1991, the Board, contrary to the Planning Depart- ment's recommendation and by a vote of 6 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to conditions the request of United California Savings Bank, Zoning Case V-59-745 (Revised), for the following variances to install two auxiliary wall signs containing approximately 29 square feet and one auxiliary wall sign containing approximately 24 square feet in Motion Second All Ayes Motion Second All Ayes 'X'X'X'X'X'X*X' | X~ 77-89
