WARDS \ 1',2\3 "4'~ 5',6',v \ <br /> Roll Call: Present :X :X :X k :X :X :X <br /> The Invocation was given by the Reverend Kerry Decker, Pathway Christian Church. <br /> The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> The Minutes of the Meeting of July 23, 1991, were approved as submitted. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br />Mayor Frizzel called on Bob Stewart, Past Chairman of the Chambers of Commerce Beauti- <br />fication Committee, to Join her in presenting Certificates of Appreciation to the mem- <br />bers of the Inland Empire District of the California Conservation Corps for the excel- <br />lent work they did on the Magnolia Center intersection median strips which was a project <br />of the Magnolia Center Chamber Division. Further, the City Council acknowledged the <br />work of Bob Stewart in this project as ~ell as other projects. <br /> <br />The Chair recognized the presence 1-n the audience of Richard Clarke representing the <br />Riverside Chamber of Commerce, Ruth Howell representing the Arlington Chamber of Com- <br />merce, David Geriguis representing the La Sierra Chamber of Commerce, Kathy Daisy-Howe <br />representing the Magnolia Center Chamber of Commerce, Cathy Brostrand representing the <br />Hunter Park-Northside Chamber of Commerce and Vindar Batoosingh representing the Down- <br />to~n Chamber of Co-~erce. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for considera- <br />tion, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item, with <br />the exception of Zoning Case V-13-912, which was removed from the agenda. <br /> <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />ZONING CASE C-60-590 (REVISED) - PARKVIEW COMMUNITY HOSPITAL - 3865 JACKSON <br />A communication ~as presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on <br />July 18, 1991, the Commission, by a vote of 6 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi- <br />tions the request of Parkview Community Hospital, Zoning Case C-60-590 (Revised), for a <br />revised conditional use permit to add an approximately 21,067-square-foot, two-story <br />building, off-street parking and landscaping on approximately 17.2 acres of land at <br />3865 Jackson Street, developed with Parkview Community Hospital, located generally <br />within the area bounded by Jackson Street, Garfield Street, Sherman Drive and Magnolia <br />Avenue, in Zones R-1-65 and RO; and determined that the proposal would not have a sig- <br />nificant adverse effect on the environment. The Commission's approval was upheld by the <br />City Council. <br /> <br />ZONING CASE C-27-901 - TOM AND CAllMEL DANIERI - 10465-10469 ARLINGTON - SET FOR PUBLIC <br />HEARING AND REFERRED TO COMMITTEE <br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on <br />July 18, 1991, the Commission, by a vote of 6 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi- <br />tions the request of Tom and Carmel Danieri, Zoning Case C-27-901, for a conditional use <br />permit to establish a self-service gasoline station with a mini-market within a proposed <br />commercial shopping center on approximately 1.95 acres of land at 10465-10469 Arlington <br />Avenue, developed with a single-family residence proposed to be demolished, situated at <br />=he northeasterly corner of Arlington and Chadbourns Avenues, in Zone RR, tentatively ap- <br />proved for Zones C-2-S-1-X; and determined that the proposal would not have a signifi- <br />cant adverse effect on the environment. As determined by the City Council on July 23, <br />1991, the City Council set the matter for public hearing on Septamber 3, 1991, at 2 p.m. <br />and referred the matter to the City Council Utility Services/Land Use/Energy Development <br />Committee for review and recom~endation. <br /> <br />CASE VAC-1-912 - PROPOSED VACATION OF ALLEY - BET. ELEVENTH AND TWELFTH SELY. OF CHESTNUT <br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Co~ission advising that, on <br />July 18, 1991, the Commission, by a vote of 6 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi- <br />tions the request of J. F. Davidson Associates, Inc., and John C. Lyons, Case VAC-1-912, <br />to vacate an approximately 16-foot-wide by approximately 157-foot-long alley located be- <br />tween Eleventh and Twelfth Streets, southeasterly of Chestnut Street; and determined <br />that the proposal would not have a significant adverse effect on the environment.
