CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />Date of Meeting: June 22, 1993 <br />Time of Meeting: 2 P.M. <br />Place of Meeting: Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSIONS <br />The City Clerk announced that the Mayor and City Council had <br />recessed to the Conference Room adjoining the Council Chamber <br />for closed sessions pursuant to Government Code Section <br />54956.9(a) to confer with the attorney regarding pending liti- <br />gation which has been initiated formally and to which the City <br />is a party--the titles of the litigation being (a) Walter Har- <br />per, Sr., et al., v. City of Riverside, et al., United States <br />District Court Case No. CV 92 5849; and (b) Dennis Ayres v. <br />City of Grand Terrace, etal., San Bernardino Superior Court <br />Case No. 274372. <br /> <br />The Mayor and Members of the City Council returned to the <br />Council Chamber. <br /> <br />RECESS FOR PARKING AUTHORITY, INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />The City Council recessed for the purpose of sitting as the <br />Parking Authority, the Industrial Development Authority and <br />Economic Development Authority. <br /> <br />There being no business to be conducted, the meetings were ad- <br />journed; and the body reconvened as the City Council of the <br />City of Riverside. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AT 3 P.M. <br /> <br />FURTHER HEARING - ZONING CASE RZ-034-890 - 3840 EL HIJO - RE- <br />ZONING - CONTINUED <br />3 P.M.--Further hearing was called on the proposal of E1 Hijo, <br />A General Partnership, to place an approximately 13'250- <br />square-foot parcel of land at 3840 E1 Hijo Street, developed <br />with a single-family residence proposed for office use, situ- <br />ated on the southwesterly side of E1 Hijo Street approximately <br />335 feet northwesterly of Magnolia Avenue, in Zone RO and re- <br />move the same from Zone R-1-65; with the City Council to also <br />consider supplementing the requested zoning with Zones S and <br />X, Zoning Case RZ-034-890. This hearing has been continued <br />from time to time since December 19, 1989, to allow time for <br />the General Plan update to be completed; and was last contin- <br />ued from November 17, 1992.
