MINUTES The Minutes of the Meetings of June 4, 5 and 8, 1993, were approved as submitted. The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Joe Theis representing the Riverside Chamber of Commerce, Rich Biber representing the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Bob Bowers representing the Downtown Chamber of Commerce, Ruth Christen- sen representing the La Sierra Chamber of Commerce, Dee Gip- son-Jimenez representing the Magnolia Center ChaSer of Com- merce and Jean Phillips representing the University-Canyon Crest Chamber of Commerce. PRESENTATION Mayor Frizzel presented a Proclamation to Tim Hively, teacher at Norte Vista High School, commending the School's Agricul- tural Department for their 1993 achievements. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Con- sent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item, with a modifi- cation to the report relative to the monthly financial reports for May 1993, noting the General Fund Contingency Reserve Bal- ance to be $420,455, instead of $284,545. CITY PLANNING COMMISSION ZONING CASE CU-018-912 (REVISED) - TACO BELL - 181 ALESSANDRO A communication was presented from the City Planning Commis- sion advising that, on May 20, 1993, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to conditions the re- quest of Taco Bell, Zoning Case CU-018-912 (Revised), for a revised conditional use permit for a variance to install an oversized menu board sign for a previously approved fast food restaurant within an existing shopping center at 181 Alessan- dro Boulevard, situated at the southeast corner of Alessandro Boulevard and Trautwein Road, in Zone C-2. The Commission's approval was upheld by the City Council.
