CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />Date of Meeting: June 8, 1993 <br />Time of Meeting: 9 A.M. <br />Place of Meeting: Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Mayor Frizzel asked for a moment of silence in commemoration <br />of the passing of former Councilmember Jean Mansfield. <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by Pastor Thomas Burdick, St. Cather- <br />ine of Alexandria Catholic Church. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />Councilmember Defenbaugh entered at this time. <br /> <br />Councilmember Defenbaugh requested that the Flag in front of <br />City Hall be lowered to half mast for the next two days, in <br />respect to former Councilmember Mansfield. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meetings of May 28, June i and June 2, <br />1993, were approved as submitted. <br /> <br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Steve <br />Reeves representing the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Jolene <br />Anderson representing the Downtown Chamber of Commerce, Don <br />Harris representing the Hunter Park-Northside Chamber of Com- <br />merce and Tom Green representing the La Sierra Chamber of Com- <br />merce. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br /> <br />Mayor Frizzel called on Joan Letbetter of the Fire Department <br />who introduced Bob Keller and Duane Morrison, Omaha Woodman <br />Life Insurance Society, who presented Lifesaver Citations to <br />representatives of the Fire Department and Goodhew Ambulance <br />Service in recognition of and commendation for swift and cou- <br />rageous action which saved the life of Sara Kruzan through <br />dedication, training and agency cooperation. <br /> <br />Mayor Frizzel called on Harold Duffy of the Public Works De- <br />partment who assisted the Mayor in presenting $500 checks and <br />Valuable and Distinguished Service Certificates to Arizona, <br />Chemawa, Loma Vista, University Heights, Central, Gage, Sierra <br />and Wells Middle Schools for participation in the Telephone <br />Book Recycling Program.
