CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />Date of Meeting: June l, 1993 <br />Time of Meeting: 9 A.M. <br />Place of Meeting: Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br /> Roll Call: <br /> <br /> Mayor Frizzel called the meeting to order at 9:35 a.m. <br /> The Invocation was given by Councilmember Thompson. <br /> The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meetings of May 25 and 26, 1993, were ap- <br />-proved as submitted. <br /> <br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Bonnie <br />Polis representing the Riverside Chamber of Commerce, Steve <br />Reeves representing the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Steve <br />Berry representing the Hunter Park-Northside Chamber of Com- <br />merce and Marjorie von Pohle representing the La Sierra Cham- <br />ber of Commerce. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br />Mayor Frizzel presented a Proclamation to Mohammed Quader, <br />President, Rohr-Riverside Chapter of the National Management <br />Association, proclaiming the week of June 7-11, 1993, as Man- <br />agement Week in the City of Riverside. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Con- <br />sent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion <br />affirming the actions appropriate to each item. <br /> <br />PURCHASING SERVICES MANAGER <br /> <br />BID NO. 4996 - SLOPE REHAB. OF RIVERSIDE CANAL AT CENTRAL <br />In consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasing <br />Services Manager, the Public Utilities Department and the <br />Board of Public Utilities, the bid of Inland Asphalt & Coat- <br />ings, in the amount of $19,610, was accepted for furnishing <br />all labor, materials and equipment for the work of slope reha- <br />bilitation of the Riverside Canal at Central Avenue, including <br />grading and compaction, installing a subdrain system, land- <br />scaping and irrigation.
