CITY OF RIVERSIDE Minutes of Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council Date of Meeting: May 28, 1993 Time of Meeting: 2 P.M. Place of Meeting: Council Chamber, City Hall Roll Call: Mayor Frizzel called the meeting to order at 2:10 p.m., and an- nounced that review would continue on the Preliminary Budget for the City of Riverside for Fiscal Year 1993-94, as prepared and submitted by the City Manager. The Assistant to City Manager- Budget distributed information regarding vacant fundedpositions for Fiscal Year 1994. Following a brief discussion, motion was made and carried to discuss only the proposed Budget for the Public Works Department today, and schedule the remaining Budget reviews for a later date. PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT The Public Works Director presented the proposed Budget for the Public Works Department beginning on Page 275 of the Preliminary Annual_Program Budget and on Page 181 of the Preliminary Line Item Detail Annual Program Budget, discussed the operation of various divisions of the Department and various projects and programs within those divisions; and he and the Deputy Public Works Director answered questions from the Mayor and City Coun- cil. Following discussion, the City Council tentatively ap- proved the proposed Budget for the Public Works Department. PUBLIC COMMENTS Marjorie yon Pohle asked questions regarding and commented on the Public Works Department and its various operations.
