CITY OF RIVEIu~£DE <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />Date of Meeting: May 18, 1993 <br />Time of Meeting: 9 A.M. <br />Place of Meeting: Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Mayor Frizzel called the meeting to order at 9:50 a.m. <br /> <br />A moment of silence was requested by Councilmember Tavaglione. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meetings of May 11 and 12, 1993, were ap- <br />proved as submitted. <br /> <br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Chris <br />McKnight representing the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Cindy <br />Hillman representing the Downtown Chamber of Commerce, Ed <br />Fuhrman representing the Hunter Park-Northside Chamber of Com- <br />merce and Bonnie Stanard representing the La Sierra Chamber of <br />Commerce. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br />Mayor Frizzel presented a Proclamation to the Public Works <br />Director proclaiming the week of May 16, 1993, as National <br />Public Works Week, and the Public Works Director presented <br />some statistics relative to various tasks performed by the <br />Public Works Department. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Con- <br />sent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion <br />affirming the actions appropriate to each item. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION COMMISSION <br /> <br />CASE EP-041-923 - PROPOSED GRADING PLAN - SYCAMORE CANYON <br />BUSINESS PARK <br />A communication was presented from the Environmental Protec- <br />tion Commission advising that, on April 29, 1993, the Commis- <br />sion, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes, determined that the pro- <br />posed grading plan for industrial pads on an approximately <br />56.9-acre site within the Sycamore Canyon Business Park Spe- <br />cific Plan area, generally bounded by Cottonwood Avenue (unim- <br />proved) to the south, Sycamore Canyon Boulevard (unimproved) <br />to the west and Eastridge Avenue to the north, will not have a <br />significant effect on the environment because Mitigation Mea- <br />sures have been required; and recommended that the City Coun- <br />cil adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration, Case EP-041-923. <br />The Commission's finding was upheld by the City Council. <br /> <br />PURCHASING SERVICES MANAGER <br /> <br />BID NO. 4981 - STEEL POLES, CONDUCTOR AND MISCELLANEOUS WORK <br />In consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasing <br />Services Manager, the Public Utilities Department and the <br /> <br /> WARDS <br />Present <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />LCDTCTP <br />OLEALHE <br />VAFV|OA <br />EREAFHR' <br />RKNGFPS <br />ZEBLOSO <br />O AIRON <br />G UODN <br />E GN <br /> HE <br /> <br />1234567 <br /> <br />XXXXXXX <br /> <br /> X <br />X <br /> <br /> X <br />X <br /> <br />78-4~5 <br /> <br /> <br />
