CITY OF RIVEk~IDE <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />Date of Meeting: May 4, 1993 <br />Time of Meeting: 9 A.M. <br />Place of Meeting: Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 9:35 a.m. <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by the Reverend Lee DeLeon of Templo <br />Calvario of Riverside. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flago <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meeting of April 27, 1993, were approved as <br />submitted. <br /> <br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of E. Ro- <br />mayne Chinnock representing the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, <br />Wes Bush representing the Hunter Park-Northside Chamber of <br />Commerce, Marjorie yon Pohle representing the La Sierra Cham- <br />ber of Commerce and Janice Newman representing the University- <br />Canyon Crest Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Con- <br />sent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion <br />affirming the actions appropriate to each item. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION COMMISSION <br /> <br />CASE EP-030-923 - PROPOSED GRADING PLAN - RIVER RIDGE AND SYC- <br />AMORE CANYON WILDERNESS PARK <br />A communication was presented from the Environmental Protec- <br />tion Commission advising that, on April 15, 1993, the Commis- <br />sion, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes, determined that the pro- <br />posed grading plan for an approximately 9.25-acre industrial <br />site within Sycamore Canyon Business Park Specific Plan, lo- <br />cated westerly of future River Ridge Drive and easterly of <br />Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Park, Case EP-030-923, will not <br />have a significant effect on the environment because Mitiga- <br />tion Measures have been required; and recommended that the <br />City Council adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration. The Com- <br />mission's finding was upheld by the City Council; and the Mit- <br />igated Negative Declaration was adopted. <br /> <br />PURCHASING SERVICES EAGER <br /> <br />BID NO. 4983 - MYERS STREET IMPROVEMENTS, PRIMROSE TO MAGNOLIA <br />In consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasing <br />Services Manager and the Public Works Department, the bid of <br />Boral Resources, Inc., in the amount of $57,172.37, was ac- <br />cepted for providing all labor, materials and equipment for <br />the work of Myers Street improvements from Primrose Drive to <br />Magnolia Avenue, consisting of the construction of curb and <br />gutter, driveways, sidewalks, asphalt concrete pavement, and <br />tree planting and relocation on Myers Street.
