CITY OF RIVE~_~'DE Minutes of Regular Meeting of the City Council Date of Meeting: April 20, 1993 Time of Meeting: 9 A.M. Place of Meeting: Council Chamber, City Hall Roll Call: Mayor Frizzel called the meeting to order at 9:25 a.m. The Mayor announced that Councilmember Loveridge is attending a memorial service for his step-father. The Invocation was given by Councilmember Thompson. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meetings of April 8 and 13, 1993, were ap- proved as submitted. The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Cyndi Hillman representing the Downtown Chamber of Commerce, Tom Pevehouse representing the Hunter Park-Northside Chamber of Commerce, Marjorie yon Pohle representing the La Sierra Cham- ber of Commerce and Rick Clark representing the Magnolia Cen- ter Chamber of Commerce. PRESENTATIONS Mayor Frizzel presented a Proclamation to Dr. Harris Kanel, President of the Riverside County Medical Association, in rec- ognition of its 100th Anniversary on April 20, 1993. Mayor Frizzel presented a Certificate of Recognition of Ser- vice to Controller Dave Wright on behalf of the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers. Mayor Frizzel presented a Certificate of Appreciation from J. Sal Munoz, Mayor of the City of Temecula, to the Riverside Fire Department in recognition of the actions of their Swift Water Rescue Team during the January floods that devastated Temecula. Mayor Frizzel called upon Hildegarde Caldwell who made a pre- sentation to the Mayor and Councilmembers on behalf of the 46th Annual Riverside Community Flower Show scheduled for April 24 and 25, 1993, at the Riverside Convention Center. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Con- sent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item, with the ex- ception of a modification to the resolution relative to secu- rity alarms.
