CITY OF RIVEn~IDE Minutes of Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council Date of Meeting: April 8, 1993 Time of Meeting: 11:30 A.M. Place of Meeting: Mission Inn, 3649 Seventh Street Roll Call: Mayor Frizzel called the Luncheon Meeting of the City Council with Assemblyman Ted Weggeland to order at 12 noon. City staff present included the Mayor, the City Manager the City Attorney, Deputy City Clerk Archambault and several other staff members. The City Manager made opening remarks and introduced Assemblyman Ted Weggeland. The Assistant City Manager-Budget gave a slide presentation relative to the status of the City of Riverside Budget, and the Finance Director presented a listing of City un- funded (optional) mandates. Development Project Manager Larmon-Davison introduced several of those present, including the UCR Director of Planning, two offi- cers of the Casa Blanca PAC (Project Area Committee), the Presi- dent of Riverside Commercial Investors (RCI} and the Executive Director of the Centro de Ninos. Following the luncheon and remarks from each Councilmember and Mayor Frizzel, Assemblyman Weggeland gave a brief overview of current legislative issues, including what impact the proposed one-half percent increase in sales tax would have on State reve- nues. Following questions by the City Councilmembers, Mayor Frizzel thanked Assemblyman Weggeland for his presentation. At 1:35 p.m. the Mayor declared the City Council adjourned to an Adjourned Regular Meeting to be held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, on Tuesday, April 13, 1993, at 8:45 a.m. for a report from Chairman Miller of the Airport Commission.
