CITY OF RIVE~,.'DE <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />Date of Meeting: April 6, 1993 <br />Time of Meeting: 9 A.M. <br />Place of Meeting: Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Mayor Frizzel called the meeting to order at 10 a.m. <br /> <br />A moment of silence was requested by Councilmember Defenbaugh. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meetings of March 23 and 30, 1993, were ap- <br />proved as submitted. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br /> <br />The Mayor recognized Barbara Steckel, Chair of Charitable Gift <br />Campaign, who presented United Way awards to City departments. <br /> <br />The Mayor presented a Proclamation to Martha Romine, The Na- <br />tional Office of Child Help, and Irene West, President, Riv- <br />erside Chapter of Child Help U.S.A., proclaiming April 1993 as <br />Child Abuse Prevention Month in Riverside. <br /> <br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Marjorie <br />von Pohle representing the La Sierra Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Con- <br />sent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion af- <br />firming the actions appropriate to each item; and with Council- <br />member Defenbaugh requesting her vote be shown as on the report <br />regarding Heritage Square Historic District zoning. <br /> <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />ZONING CASE CU-005-890 - CITY OF RIVERSIDE - CREIGHTON NWLY. OF <br />GRAMERCY <br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission <br />advising that, on March 18, 1993, the Commission, by a vote of <br />7 ayes to 1 no, approved subject to conditions the request of <br />the City of Riverside, Zoning Case CU-005-890, for a conditional <br />use permit to establish an approximately ten-million-gallon un- <br />derground reservoir on approximately 10.7 acres of land at the <br />westerly terminus of Creighton Street northwesterly of Gramercy <br />Place, developed with an aboveground water storage reservoir, in <br />Zone RC; and determined that the proposal would not have a sig- <br />nificant adverse effect on the environment.
