CITY OF RIVE~,.'DE Minutes of Regular Meeting of the City Council Date of Meeting: April 6, 1993 Time of Meeting: 9 A.M. Place of Meeting: Council Chamber, City Hall Roll Call: Mayor Frizzel called the meeting to order at 10 a.m. A moment of silence was requested by Councilmember Defenbaugh. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meetings of March 23 and 30, 1993, were ap- proved as submitted. PRESENTATIONS The Mayor recognized Barbara Steckel, Chair of Charitable Gift Campaign, who presented United Way awards to City departments. The Mayor presented a Proclamation to Martha Romine, The Na- tional Office of Child Help, and Irene West, President, Riv- erside Chapter of Child Help U.S.A., proclaiming April 1993 as Child Abuse Prevention Month in Riverside. The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Marjorie von Pohle representing the La Sierra Chamber of Commerce. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Con- sent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion af- firming the actions appropriate to each item; and with Council- member Defenbaugh requesting her vote be shown as on the report regarding Heritage Square Historic District zoning. CITY PLANNING COMMISSION ZONING CASE CU-005-890 - CITY OF RIVERSIDE - CREIGHTON NWLY. OF GRAMERCY A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on March 18, 1993, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 1 no, approved subject to conditions the request of the City of Riverside, Zoning Case CU-005-890, for a conditional use permit to establish an approximately ten-million-gallon un- derground reservoir on approximately 10.7 acres of land at the westerly terminus of Creighton Street northwesterly of Gramercy Place, developed with an aboveground water storage reservoir, in Zone RC; and determined that the proposal would not have a sig- nificant adverse effect on the environment.
