CITY OF RIVEK_ IDE <br /> <br />Minutes of <br />Date of Meeting: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br /> <br />Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />March 30, 1993 <br />10 A.M. <br />Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Mayor Frizzel called the meeting to order at 10:10 a.m. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />1992-93/1997-98 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br />The City Council continued its review of the 1992-93/1997-98 <br />Capital Improvement Program (CIP). <br /> <br />PARK AND RECREATION <br />The Park and Recreation Director presented a report on cost <br />estimates and potential phases for Victoria Avenue improvements <br />from McAllister Avenue to La Sierra Avenue including median <br />landscaping, irrigation and acquisition of rights-of-way, and <br />answeredquestions from the City Council. Following discussion, <br />the City Council added the potential phases for Victoria Avenue <br />improvements as outlined in the report to the CIP beginning with <br />the 1993-94 Program Year and requested staff to research the <br />possibility of offering a tax credit to property owners for <br />right-of-way acquisitions. <br /> <br />The Park and Recreation Director then discussed the effects <br />to the CIP if the first level planning of Cross Park is moved <br />to the 1994-95 Program Year. Following a brief discussion, <br />the City Council moved the first level planning of Cross Park <br />to the 1994-95 Program Year. <br /> <br />The Park and Recreation Director then concluded his presenta- <br />tion with the recommendation that no changes be made to the <br />CIP with regards to the status of the Arlington Pool at this <br />time, but to look at the project again next year. Interested <br />persons in the audience spoke on the matter. Following <br />discussion with the Park and Recreation Director, the City <br />Council made no changes to the CIP with regards to the <br />Arlington Pool and tentatively approved the Park and Recre- <br />ation portion of the CIP as amended by the City Council. <br /> <br />ELECTRIC FUND <br />The Public Utilities Director presented the Electric Fund por- <br />tion of the Capital Improvement Program and answered questions <br />from the City Council. Interested persons in the audience spoke <br />on the matter. Following discussion, the City Council tenta- <br />tively approved the Electric Fund portion of the CIP. <br /> <br />WATER FUND <br />The Public Utilities Director presented the Water Fund portion <br />of the Capital Improvement Program and answered questions from <br />the City Council. Following discussion, the City Council ten- <br />tatively approved the Water Fund portion of the CIP. <br /> <br />FIRE <br />The Fire Chief reviewed the status of Fire Station Nos. 12 and <br />13 and answered questions from the Mayor and City Council.
