CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> <br />Minutes of <br />Date of Meeting: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />March 9, 1993 <br />9A.M. <br />Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 9:20 a.m. <br /> <br />Councilmember Loveridge is attending the National League of <br />Cities Conference in Washington, D.C. <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by David Dodge, First Congregational <br />Church. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meetings of March 1 and 2, 1993, were <br />approved as submitted. <br /> <br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Janice New- <br />man representing the Riverside Chamber of Commerce, Romayne <br />Chinnock representing the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Debbie <br />Lorenzi representing the Downtown Chamber of CoE~erce, Marjorie <br />yon Pohle representing the La Sierra Chamber of Commerce and Jim <br />Buckley representing the University-Canyon Crest Chamber of Com- <br />merce. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Con- <br />sent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion <br />affirming the actions appropriate to each item; and with Coun- <br />cilmember Tavaglione requesting his vote be shown as "Not Vot- <br />ing" on the ordinance introduction regarding Case AM-001-923 <br />relative to business park overlay zones because is it reason- <br />ably foreseeable that the decision will have a material finan- <br />cial effect on a source of income. <br /> <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />CASE GP-004-923 - COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE - INDIANA SWLY. OF WASH- <br />INGTON <br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commis- <br />sion advising that, on February 18, 1993, the Commission con- <br />sidered the request of the County of Riverside, Case GP-004- <br />923, for a determination as to whether its acquisition of <br />approximately two acres of land located on the southeast side <br />of Indiana Avenue approximately 200 feet southwesterly of <br />Washington Street is consistent with the City of Riverside <br />General Plan; and, by a vote of 6 ayes to 0 noes, (1) deter- <br />mined that the proposed acquisition of the subject site for a <br />health care center proposed for 7136-7156 Indiana Avenue is <br />consistent with the City's General Plan; and (2) requested <br />staff to forward these findings to the City Council for review <br />and approval and, in turn, to the Building Services of the <br />County of Riverside.
