The City <br />~Council also recognized Larry Paulsen, Assistant City Manager, and Jerry DeSilva, Build- <br />~ing Services Superintendent, for their efforts in implementing these energy conservation <br />[measures. <br /> <br />~ CONSENT CALENDAR <br />~The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for considera- <br /> ~ rio <br /> tion, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item; with ~Mo n <br /> the exception of the ordinance adoption relative to parking regulation on Central Avenue Second <br /> between Navel Court and School Circle which was removed from the Agenda. All Ayes <br /> <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION COMMISSION <br /> <br /> CASE EP-034-923 - PROPOSED GRADING PLAN - 2139 OLD BRIDGE <br /> A communication was presented from the Environmental Protection Commission advising <br /> that, on February 11, 1993, the Commission, by a vote of 9 ayes to 0 noes, determined <br /> that a proposed grading plan for a tennis court on an approximately 2.04-acre lot at <br /> 2139 Old Bridge Road, currently being developed with a single-family residence, gener- <br /> ally situated southerly of Arlington Avenue and westerly of Via Vista Drive, in Zone RC, <br /> will not have a significant effect on the environment because Mitigation Measures have <br /> been required; and recommended that the City Council adopt a Mitigated Negative Declara- <br /> tion, Case EP-034-923. The Commission's finding was upheld by the City Council; and the <br /> Mitigated Negative Declaration was adopted. <br /> <br /> CASE EP-036-923 - PAVED SHOULDERS, CURB, GUTTER AND SIDEWALK - JONES SLY. OF CAMPBELL <br /> A communication was presented from the Environmental Protection Commission advising <br /> that, on February 11, 1993, the Commission, by a vote of 9 ayes to 0 noes, determined <br /> that a proposal by the City of Riverside to construct paved shoulders, curb, gutter and <br /> sidewalk on the southerly side of Jones Street from approximately 175 feet to 575 feet <br /> southerly of Campbell Avenue will not have a significant effect on the environment be- <br /> cause Mitigation Measures have been required; and recommended that the City Council <br /> adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration, Case EP-036-923. The Commission's finding was <br /> upheld by the City Council; and the Mitigated Negative Declaration was adopted. <br /> <br /> PURCHASING SERVICES MANAGER <br /> <br /> BID NO. 4984 - CHEMICAL WEED CONTROL FOR VICTORIA AVENUE MEDIANS <br />In consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasing Services Manager and the Park <br />and Recreation Department, the bid of Landscape West, Inc., in the amount of ,11,060 for <br />Part One (initial cleanup) and Part Two (monthly maintenance), was accepted for furnish- <br />ing all labor, materials and equipment for the work of chemical weed control for Victo- <br />ria Avenue medians for the period March 1, 1993, through June 30, 1993.
