The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meetings of February 9, 1993, were approved as submitted. The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Carole Gudde representing the Ar- lington Chamber of Commerce, Steve Berry representing the Hunter Park-Northside Chamber of Commerce, MarJorie von Pohle representing the La Sierra Chamber of Commerce and Lance Gilmer representing the University-Canyon Crest Chamber of Commerce. PRESENTATIONS Mayor Frizzel introduced John Holmes, City Manager, who presented an Employee Suggestion Award in the form of a check in the amount of ,950 to Ken Jolly, Street Services Divi- sion of the Public Works Department. ~Mayor Frizzel presented a Certificate of Appreciation to David Stahovich in recognition ~of his dedication and hard work in assisting in the eradication of graffiti in various {areas throughout the City. CONSENT CALENDAR ~The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for considera- ~tion, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item. PURCHASING SERVICES I~AGER BID NO. 4979 - STEEL TRANSMISSION STRUCTURES - PUBLIC UTILITIES DEPT., ELECTRIC DIV. In consideration of the reco~ndation from the Purchasing Services Manager, the Public Utilities Department and the Board of Public Utilities, the bid of Power Structures, Inc., in the amount of ,37,529.33, was accepted for fabricating and delivering to the Public Utilities Department, Electric Division, 69 kV steel transmission structures. All other bids were rejected; and the Purchasing Services Manager was authorized to pro- ;teed with the purchase by Purchase Order. I ~ CITY ~ MANAGER {AMENDMENT TO COOPERATION AGREEMENT - FIRST AMENDMENT TO CASA BLANCA REDEVELOPMENT PLAN ~A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Assistant Director of Fi- nnante and Administration-Development, approved by the Executive Director of the Redevel- ~opment Agency, and concurred in by the Firmnce Director, recommending that the City ~Council authorize the Mayor to execute on behalf of the City the Amendment to Coopera- ~tion Agreement w~th the County of Riverside, relative to the First Amendment to the Casa fB1 c t an a Redevelopment Project. The recommendation was approved as presented. ~OWNER PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT - 1500 EASTRIDGE - SYCAMORE CANYON REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT I AREA - SETTING JOINT PUBLIC HEARINC ~A ~ ~rritten report was submitted from the City M~nager and Development Department Project ~Ma ge Nuby, concurred in by the Executive Director of the Redevelopment Agency, recom- na r mending that the City Council set a Joint public hearing with the Redevelopment Agency on March 23, 1993, at 3 p.m., in the City Council Chamber, to consider an Owner Partici- pation Agreement involving property located at 1500 Eastridge Avenue in the Sycamore Canyon Redevelopment Project Area. The recommendation was approved as presented. SUBLEASE AGREEMENT - LORING OFFICE BUILDING - SETTING JOINT PUBLIC ~IEARING A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Deputy Development Direc- tor, approved by the Executive Director of the Redevelopment Agency, recommending that the City Council authorize setting a Joint public hearing with the Redevelopment Agency Motion Second All Ayes IXI I I I I 78-334
