CITY OF RIVEL_£DE Minutes of Regular Meeting of the City Council Date of Meeting: December 7, 1993 Time of Meeting: 9 A.M. Place of Meeting: Council Chamber, City Hall Roll Call: The Mayor called the meeting to order at 9:35 a.m. following completion of the RedeveloExnent Agency meeting. The Invocation was given by Marjorie von Pohle from the audi- ence. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meeting of November 16, 1993, were ap- proved, correcting the second Presentation on Page 79-252 to reflect that Cliff Collins is a sixth grade teacher at Alcott School and not a fifth grade teacher. The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Tom Estes representing the Magnolia Center Chamber of Commerce. PRESENTATION Mayor Frizzel presented Proclamations to Susan Hafner, River- side Transit Agency (RTA), and Jim Guthrie, Chairman of the Transportation NOW Coalition, in honor of the RTA being named to the Chairman's Honor Roll Gold Award for Excellence in transit advocacy and public education at the 1993 annual meet- ing of the American Public Traneportatlon Association in New Orleans. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Con- sent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item, with Council- member Clifford requesting that his vote be shown as "No" on Zoning Case CU-022-823 (Revised); and with clarification of the action taken relative to the traffic mitigation measures in the Downtown area to provide for the installation of a "Do Not Enter" sign at the intersection of University Avenue and Redwood Drive.
