CITY OF RIVER_XDE <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />Date of Meeting: November 23, 1993 <br />Time of Meeting: 2 P.M. <br />Place of Meeting: Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />Deputy City Clerk Archambault announced that the City Council <br />and Mayor had recessed to the Conference Room adjoining the <br />Council Chamber for a closed session pursuant to Government <br />Code Section 54956.8 to give instructions to the City's nego- <br />tiators regarding negotiations with Golf Horizons concerning <br />the sale of property located at Palm and Tequesquite Avenues. <br /> <br />RECESS <br />At 2:25 p.m., following completion of the closed session, the <br />City Council recessed and reconvened in the Council Chamber at <br />3 p.m. <br /> <br />RECESS FOR PARKING AUTHORITY, INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />The City Council recessed for the purpose of sitting as the <br />Parking Authority, the Industrial Development Authority and <br />the Economic Development Authority. <br /> <br />There being no business to be conducted, the meetings were ad- <br />journed; and the body reconvened as the City Council of the <br />City of Riverside. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AT 3 P.M. <br /> <br />ZONING CASE RZ-006-934 - STERLING SLY. OF RIVERSIDE (91) FREE- <br />WAY - REZONING APPROVED - ORDINANCE INTRODUCED <br />3 P.M.--Hearing was called on the proposal of MC Partners to <br />place an approximately .09-acre portion of an approximately <br />1.09-acre site developed with an existing billboard and boat <br />storage facility, situated on the easterly end of Sterling <br />Avenue southerly of the Riverside (91) Freeway, in Zone M-2 <br />and remove the same from Zone M-l; with the City Council to <br />also consider supplementing the requested zoning with Zone S, <br />Zoning Case RZ-006-934. As heretofore directed by the City <br />Council, the minutes of the City Planning Commission pertain- <br />ing to this case are on file and are a part of the evidence <br />submitted at this hearing, whether or not any portion thereof <br />is read or discussed. The communication from the Planning <br />Commission stated that the Commission, by a vote of 8 ayes to <br />0 noes, recommended that Zone M-2 be approved for only an ap- <br />proximately 60-foot by 75-foot portion of Parcel i of Parcel <br />Map 23652, with the remaining portion of the parcel to remain <br />in Zones M-l, subject to the following conditions: (1) There <br />shall be a two-year time limit in which to satisfy the follow- <br />ing conditions and finalize this action. Subsequent one-year <br />time extensions may be granted by the City Council upon re- <br />quest by the applicant.
