CITY OF RIVF~£DE Minutes of Regular Meeting of the City Council Date of Meeting: November 16, 1993 Time of Meeting: 9 A.M. Place of Meeting= Council Chamber, City Hall Roll Call: Mayor Frizzel called the meeting to order at 9:15 a.m. Mayor Frizzel announced that the flag was being flown at half mast in memory of Councilmember Jack Clarke who passed away on November 15, 1993. The Invocation was given by Mayor Frizzel in remembrance of Councilmember Clarke. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meeting of November 2, 1993, were approved as submitted. The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Chris Deurr representing the Hunter Park-Northside Chamber of Com- merce. PRESENTATIONS Margie Jehue of the Automobile Club of Southern California and Captain Ted Burgnon of the California Highway Patrol (CHP) In- land Division presented 10851 Vehicle Theft Recovery Awards to Riverside Police Officers~ and a Pedestrian Protection Safety "Award of Merit" to Fran Dunajski, Public Works Traffic Engi- neer, on behalf of the City of Riverside. Mayor Frizzel recognized Cliff Collins, fifth grade teacher at Alcott School, who was present in the audience with his stu- dents. CANVASS OF ELECTION RETURNS - GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION This being the time and place fixed for the report of the City Clerk on the canvass of the returns of the General Municipal Election held on the 2nd day of November, 1993, the Mayor called upon the City Clerk to read the results of said canvass of returns of said Election and the absentee votes cast at said Election, as heretofore authorized by Resolution of the City Council. Following presentation of the certification of the results by the City Clerk, the following actions were tak- en: GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION - DECLARING THE RESULTS - RESOL.
