CITY OF RIVEkoIDE <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />Date of Meeting: July 27, 1993 <br />Time of Meeting: 2 P.M. <br />Place of Meeting: Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />The City Clerk announced that the City Council and Mayor had <br />recessed to the Conference Room adjoining the Council Chamber <br />for a closed session pursuant to Government Code Section <br />54956.9(a) to confer with its attorney regarding pending liti- <br />gation which has been initiated formally and to which the City <br />is a party--the title of the litigation is Coordinated Pro- <br />ceeding Special Title [Rule 15550(b)], Senate Bill 2557 Cases, <br />Superior Court of the State of California, Judicial Council <br />Coordination Proceeding No. 2584. <br /> <br />Councilmember Loveridge entered during the above closed ses- <br />sion. <br /> <br />RECESS <br />At 2:20 p.m., following completion of the closed session, the <br />City Council recessed; and reconvened at 3 p.m. <br /> <br />RECESS FOR PARKING AUTHORITY, INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />The City Council recessed for the purpose of sitting as the <br />Parking Authority, the Industrial Development Authority and <br />Economic Development Authority. <br /> <br />There being no business to be conducted, the meetings were ad- <br />journed; and the body reconvened as the City Council of the <br />City of Riverside. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AT 3 P.M. <br /> <br />FORMATION OF MARKETPLACE LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT <br />PHASE 1 - 1993-94 ASSESSMENTS - RESOLUTION <br />3 P.M.--Hearing was called on Resolution of Intention No. <br />18261, adopted by the City Council on june 8, 1993, to consid- <br />er the formation of the Marketplace Landscape Maintenance Dis- <br />trict Phase I and for levying assessments for the 1993-94 Fis- <br />cal Year. The Marketplace Landscape Maintenance District is <br />being ~ormea to provlae maln~enance o~ ~he lanascape8 parkway <br />and median areas within the District, costs of irrigation wa- <br />ter and incidental expenses, and for a portion of the costs of <br />maintaining North Park.
