CITY OF RIVk~.3IDE Minutes of Regular Meeting of the City Council Date of Meeting: May 7, 1996 Time of Meeting: 9 A.M. Place of Meeting: Council Chamber, City Hall Roll Call: Mayor Pro Tempore Pearson presided in the absence of Mayor Loveridge and announced that Mayor Loveridge and Councilmember Defenbaugh were in Washington, D.C., on business. The Invocation was given by Councilmember Thompson. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meeting of April 23, 1996, were approved as presented. PRESENTATIONS Mayor Pro Tempore Pearson presented a Proclamation to Bill Hines, representative from the National Association of Letter Carriers, proclaiming Saturday, May 11, as "Letter Carrier's Food Drive Day" in the City of Riverside. Mayor Pro Tempore Pearson presented a Proclamation to Nancy Wenzel, Chair, Mission Inn Museum, proclaiming May 8, 9 and 10, as "Passport to Culture Days" in the City of Riverside. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Con- sent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item. PLANNING COMMISSION ZONING CASE CU-038-601 (REV.) - 7680 CASA BLANCA The City Council upheld the Planning Commission's action in approving subject to conditions the request of the Casa Blanca Home of Neighborly Services for a revised conditional use per- mit to demolish an existing approximately 1,100-square-foot modular building and construct an approximately 2,480-square- foot building on approximately .57 acre developed with a play- ground, parking area and two office buildings at 7680 Casa Blanca Street, situated on the southerly corner of Winstrom and Casa Blanca Streets, in Zone R-1-65; upheld the Commis- sion's determination that the proposal would not have a sig- nificant effect on the environment; and concurred in the adop- tion of the Negative Declaration. ZONING CASE CU-047-956 - 11060 MAGNOLIA The City Council upheld the Planning Commission's action in approving subject to conditions the request of L.A.
