CITY OF RIVk~.3IDE <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />Date of Meeting: May 7, 1996 <br />Time of Meeting: 9 A.M. <br />Place of Meeting: Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tempore Pearson presided in the absence of Mayor <br />Loveridge and announced that Mayor Loveridge and Councilmember <br />Defenbaugh were in Washington, D.C., on business. <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by Councilmember Thompson. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meeting of April 23, 1996, were approved as <br />presented. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tempore Pearson presented a Proclamation to Bill <br />Hines, representative from the National Association of Letter <br />Carriers, proclaiming Saturday, May 11, as "Letter Carrier's <br />Food Drive Day" in the City of Riverside. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tempore Pearson presented a Proclamation to Nancy <br />Wenzel, Chair, Mission Inn Museum, proclaiming May 8, 9 and <br />10, as "Passport to Culture Days" in the City of Riverside. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Con- <br />sent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion <br />affirming the actions appropriate to each item. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />ZONING CASE CU-038-601 (REV.) - 7680 CASA BLANCA <br />The City Council upheld the Planning Commission's action in <br />approving subject to conditions the request of the Casa Blanca <br />Home of Neighborly Services for a revised conditional use per- <br />mit to demolish an existing approximately 1,100-square-foot <br />modular building and construct an approximately 2,480-square- <br />foot building on approximately .57 acre developed with a play- <br />ground, parking area and two office buildings at 7680 Casa <br />Blanca Street, situated on the southerly corner of Winstrom <br />and Casa Blanca Streets, in Zone R-1-65; upheld the Commis- <br />sion's determination that the proposal would not have a sig- <br />nificant effect on the environment; and concurred in the adop- <br />tion of the Negative Declaration. <br /> <br />ZONING CASE CU-047-956 - 11060 MAGNOLIA <br />The City Council upheld the Planning Commission's action in <br />approving subject to conditions the request of L.A.
