CITY OF RIVERSIDE CITY COUNCIL Minutes of: Date of Meeting: Time of Meeting: Place of Meeting: Regular Meeting of the City Council April 13, 1999 9 a.m. Council Chamber, City Hall Roll Call: The Invocation was given by Councilmember Thompson. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meeting of April 6, 1999, were approved as presented. PRESENTATIONS Mayor Loveridge presented a Proclamation to Human Resources Director Judith Griffith proclaiming the week of April 12-16, 1999, as Volunteer Week. MUNICIPAL VOLUNTEER PROGRAM Human Resources Director Judith Griffith presented an overview of the City's Municipal Volunteer Program, presented plaques to the Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Recipients, and recognized departmental nominees. Mayor Loveridge called on Public Utilities Director Bill Carnahan who presented the Department' s recently restored 1912 Detroit Electric Depot Hack. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item. CITY MANAGER CENTRAL GARAGE/AUTO STORES CONSOLIDATION The City Council approved the purchase of approximately $150,000 of Auto Stores parts and assets from the Finance Department Central Stores Fund to complete the transfer of the Auto Stores operation to the Central Garage. PROJECT AREA COMMITTEE EXTENSION FOR AMENDED CASA BLANCA REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT - RESOLUTION The City Council adopted a resolution extending the Project Area Committee (PAC) for the Amended Casa Blanca Redevelopment Project for a period of one year; whereupon, Resolution No. 19463 of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, Extending Pursuant to the Provisions of Section 33386 of the Health and Safety Code the Project Area Committee for the Amended Casa Blanca Redevelopment Project for a Period of One Year, was presented and adopted.
