CITY OF RIV~ 3IDE <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />Date of Meeting: March 12, 1996 <br />Time of Meeting: 9 A.M. <br />Place of Meeting: Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge called the City Council meeting to order at <br />9:05 a.m., following completion of the Adjourned Regular Meet- <br />ing. <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by the City Manager. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meeting of March 5, 1996, were approved as <br />presented. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge presented a Proclamation to Gerald Cole, <br />A.I.A., of Cole & Frick Architects, proclaiming March 11-17, <br />1996, as "Architecture Week" in the City of Riverside. <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge accepted contributions of $500 from River- <br />side/Moreno Valley Area Association of Realtors and $513 from <br />Chevron U.S.A. Products Company for Neighborhood Pride yard <br />signs; and the City Council (1) accepted the contributions to <br />be recorded in Estimated Revenue from Other Organizations Ac- <br />count 101-0-339000; and (2) appropriated the same to Neighbor- <br />hood Pride Sign Account 101-101000-450331. The City Manager <br />was requested to report back to the City Council in 30 days <br />with a sample of the Neighborhood Pride yard signs and rules <br />for the placement of the signs. <br /> <br />RESET PROGRAM <br />The Human Resources Director updated the Mayor and City Coun- <br />cil on the Riverside Employment Service Education and Training <br />Program (RESET), a one-year program to prepare young adults to <br />seek job opportunities in the community. The fifteen partici- <br />pants enrolled in this program were introduced and an overview <br />of their job duties was presented orally and through a slide <br />presentation of job sites.
