CITY OF RIVE,,BIDE Minutes of Special Meeting of the City Council Date of Meeting: February 8, 1996 Time of Meeting: 9 A.M. Place of Meeting: Council Chamber Board Room, City Hall Roll Call: Mayor Loveridge called the meeting to order at 9:10 a.m. and an- nounced that this is the time scheduled for the City Council to conduct interviews for Board and Commission vacancies. BOARD OF ADMINISTRATIVE APPEALS AND ZONING ADJUSTMENT The Mayor and City Council conducted interviews with Scott Anger, Paul Whitehouse, and Derrill Sturgeon. Following com- pletion of the interviews, Derrill Sturgeon was appointed to the Board of Administrative Appeals and Zoning Adjustment for a four-year term ending March 1, 2000; and Scott Anger was appointed as First Alternate and Paul Whitehouse was appointed as Second Alternate, both for one-year periods ending March 1, 1997. Mayor Loveridge voted in favor of the appointments. AIRPORT COMMISSION Following interviews with Roger Krueger, John "Mike" Lindgren, Sperry MacNaughton, Steve McKee, Michael Pierce, Irving Thornton and Roger Walker, the Mayor and City Council appointed Roger Krueger to a three-year term ending March 1, 1999, John Lindgren to a four-year term ending March 1, 2000; and appointed Sperry MacNaughton as Alternate for a one-year period ending March 1, 1997. Mayor Loveridge voted in favor of the appointments. RECESS The City Council recessed for lunch at 11:45 a.m. and reconvened at 1:40 p.m. CULTUR3U~ HERITAGE BOARD Following interviews with Bruce Love, William Warkentin, Katherine Warren, Nancy Thompson, Carole Stadelbacher and Rennie Schoepflin, the City Council appointed William Warkentin and Nancy Thompson to four-year terms ending March 1, 2000; and appointed Rennie Schoepflin as Alternate for a one-year period ending March 1, 1997. Mayor Loveridge voted in favor of the appointments. Further, following discussion relative to qualifications and experience of Katherine Warren, motion was made to appoint Ms. Warren as an Alternate to the Museum Board if she is interested. Mayor Loveridge voted in favor of the appoint- ment. Mayor Loveridge and Councilmember Beaty left the meeting during the following interviews and Mayor Pro Tempore Pearson presided.
