CITY OF RIVE,,BIDE <br /> <br />Minutes of Special Meeting of the City Council <br />Date of Meeting: February 8, 1996 <br />Time of Meeting: 9 A.M. <br />Place of Meeting: Council Chamber Board Room, City Hall <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge called the meeting to order at 9:10 a.m. and an- <br />nounced that this is the time scheduled for the City Council to <br />conduct interviews for Board and Commission vacancies. <br /> <br />BOARD OF ADMINISTRATIVE APPEALS AND ZONING ADJUSTMENT <br />The Mayor and City Council conducted interviews with Scott <br />Anger, Paul Whitehouse, and Derrill Sturgeon. Following com- <br />pletion of the interviews, Derrill Sturgeon was appointed to the <br />Board of Administrative Appeals and Zoning Adjustment for a <br />four-year term ending March 1, 2000; and Scott Anger was <br />appointed as First Alternate and Paul Whitehouse was appointed <br />as Second Alternate, both for one-year periods ending March 1, <br />1997. Mayor Loveridge voted in favor of the appointments. <br /> <br />AIRPORT COMMISSION <br />Following interviews with Roger Krueger, John "Mike" Lindgren, <br />Sperry MacNaughton, Steve McKee, Michael Pierce, Irving Thornton <br />and Roger Walker, the Mayor and City Council appointed Roger <br />Krueger to a three-year term ending March 1, 1999, John Lindgren <br />to a four-year term ending March 1, 2000; and appointed Sperry <br />MacNaughton as Alternate for a one-year period ending March 1, <br />1997. Mayor Loveridge voted in favor of the appointments. <br /> <br />RECESS <br />The City Council recessed for lunch at 11:45 a.m. and reconvened <br />at 1:40 p.m. <br /> <br />CULTUR3U~ HERITAGE BOARD <br />Following interviews with Bruce Love, William Warkentin, <br />Katherine Warren, Nancy Thompson, Carole Stadelbacher and Rennie <br />Schoepflin, the City Council appointed William Warkentin and <br />Nancy Thompson to four-year terms ending March 1, 2000; and <br />appointed Rennie Schoepflin as Alternate for a one-year period <br />ending March 1, 1997. Mayor Loveridge voted in favor of the <br />appointments. <br /> <br />Further, following discussion relative to qualifications and <br />experience of Katherine Warren, motion was made to appoint <br />Ms. Warren as an Alternate to the Museum Board if she is <br />interested.
