CITY OF RIV, 3IDE <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />Date of Meeting: January 23, 1996 <br />Time of Meeting: 2 P.M. <br />Place of Meeting: Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Councilmember Clifford was unable to attend this portion of <br />the City Council meeting because he was in Los Angeles pre- <br />senting the Riverside County State Transportation Improvement <br />Program requests to the California Transportation Commission. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION CALENDAR <br /> <br />LIBP~ARY DEPARTMENT BUDGET ADJUSTMENTS - CONTINUED <br />Upon consideration of the written request of Councilmember <br />Clifford, the City Council continued discussion of the Library <br />Department Budget adjustments to February 6, 1996. <br /> <br />RIVERSIDE CALLING PROGRAM <br />Following discussion with Riverside Calling Program partici- <br />pants, the City Council received and ordered filed the report <br />prepared by the Development Coordinator summarizing the re- <br />sults of the Program in which over 7,000 small businesses were <br />contacted during the summer of 1995 as part of the City's <br />overall business retention efforts. <br /> <br />MID-YEAR BUDGET REVIEW - CONTINUED <br />The Resource Center Manager, City Manager and Finance Director <br />presented the Mid-Year Budget review and answered questions <br />from the Mayor and City Council. Following discussion and <br />without formal motion, this matter was continued to immediate- <br />ly follow the 3 p.m. hearing relative to Zoning Case RZ-017- <br />956. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING AT 3 P.M. <br /> <br />ZONING CASE RZ-017-956 VAN BUREN/TRAUTWEIN - ORD. INTRO. <br />3 P.M.--Hearing was called to consider the request of TMM Re- <br />alty Services to place approximately 7.8 vacant acres situated <br />on the northeast corner of Van Buren Boulevard and Trautwein <br />Road in Zones C-2 and R-3-40 and remove the same from Zones C- <br />2 and R-3-40; and to consider supplementing the requested zon- <br />ing with Zones S and X. No protests, written or oral, were <br />presented. The public hearing was officially closed.
