MINUTES The Minutes of the Meeting of January 2, 1996, were approved as presented. CELEBRATING RIVERSIDE Councilmember Pearson, Ward 7, presented a Certificate of Ap- preciation and a City pin to Cary Sena for her devotion to im- proving the Arlanza/La Sierra area. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Con- sent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item; with the ex- ception of the appointmentI to the Cultural Heritage Board which was removed from the agenda; and with Councilmember Clifford requesting that his vote be shown as "No" on the vol- unteer code enforcement officer program. PLAiVNING COMMISSION ZONING CASE CU-027-667 (REV.) - 8432 MAGNOLIA The City Council upheld the Planning Commission's action in approving subject to conditions the request of California Bap- tist College for a revised conditional use permit to install 16 temporary modular units for classroom/office purposes on approximately 75 acres at 8432 Magnolia Avenue, situated on the south side of Magnolia Avenue easterly of Monroe Street and northerly of Diana Avenue, in Zone R-1-65; determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse effect on the environment; and concurred in the adoption of the Negative Declaration. CASE NC-001-956 ~/3AMS BETWEEN CENTRAL AND MOUNTAIN VIEW The City Council upheld the Planning Commission's action in approving subject to conditions the request of the City of Riverside Public Works Department for a street name change for a portion of Adams Street between Central and Mountain View Avenues to Essex Street, and directed the City Attorney's of- fice to prepare the appropriate resolution.
