CITY OF RI~ .aIDE <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />Date of Meeting: October 22, 1996 <br />Time of Meeting: 1 P.M. <br />Place of Meeting: Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge called the meeting to order at 1:05 p.m. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />The Mayor and Councilmembers recessed to the Council Chamber <br />Board Room for a closed session pursuant to Government Code <br />§54957 to consider the performance evaluation of the City Man- <br />ager. <br /> <br />The Mayor and Councilmembers returned to the Council Chamber <br />at 3 p.m. <br /> <br />PARKING, INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AU- <br />THORITIES <br />The City Council recessed for the purpose of sitting as the <br />Parking Authority, the Industrial Development Authority and <br />the Economic Development Authority. <br /> <br />There being no business to be conducted, the meetings were <br />adjourned; and the body reconvened as the City Council. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS AT 3 P.M. <br /> <br />CASE AM-007-956 - CONTAINERS/ACCESSORY BUILDINGS REGULATIONS - <br />CONTINUED <br />3 P.M.--Further hearing was called on the proposal of the City <br />of Riverside to amend Title 19 (Zoning) of the Riverside Mu- <br />nicipal Code to add regulations for cargo containers and to <br />clarify and reorganize all other accessory building provi- <br />sions. No one was present wishing to speak on the matter. No <br />written protests were presented. Following a brief discus- <br />sion, the City Council approved staff and the City Council <br />Utility Services/Land Use/Energy Development Committee's rec- <br />ommendation to continue the hearing to December 3, 1996, at <br />2 p.m. <br /> <br />CASE GP-002-967/ZONING CASE RZ-001-967/CU-005-967 11213- <br />11229 INDIANA - ORDINANCE INTRODUCED <br />3 P.M.--Hearing was called on the proposal of A. A. Webb Asso- <br />ciates to: (1) amend the existing General Plan by deleting <br />the Medium Density Residential (RMD) land use designation from <br />approximately seven acres consisting of two vacant parcels and <br />one parcel containing two single-family residences and acces- <br />sory structures located at 11213-11229 Indiana Avenue, on the <br />northerly side of Indiana Avenue west of La Sierra Avenue, and <br />placing these properties in the Retail Business and Office <br />(CBO) land use designation or other designations deemed more <br />appropriate by the City Council; (2) place approximately seven <br />acres at the above location in Zone C-3 and remove the same <br />from Zone R-1-65; and to also consider supplementing the re- <br />quested zoning with Zones S and X; and (3) approve a condi- <br />tional use permit to establish a mini-warehouse facility at <br />the above location.
