CITY OF RI~ .aIDE Minutes of Regular Meeting of the City Council Date of Meeting: October 22, 1996 Time of Meeting: 1 P.M. Place of Meeting: Council Chamber, City Hall Roll Call: Mayor Loveridge called the meeting to order at 1:05 p.m. CLOSED SESSION The Mayor and Councilmembers recessed to the Council Chamber Board Room for a closed session pursuant to Government Code §54957 to consider the performance evaluation of the City Man- ager. The Mayor and Councilmembers returned to the Council Chamber at 3 p.m. PARKING, INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AU- THORITIES The City Council recessed for the purpose of sitting as the Parking Authority, the Industrial Development Authority and the Economic Development Authority. There being no business to be conducted, the meetings were adjourned; and the body reconvened as the City Council. PUBLIC HEARINGS AT 3 P.M. CASE AM-007-956 - CONTAINERS/ACCESSORY BUILDINGS REGULATIONS - CONTINUED 3 P.M.--Further hearing was called on the proposal of the City of Riverside to amend Title 19 (Zoning) of the Riverside Mu- nicipal Code to add regulations for cargo containers and to clarify and reorganize all other accessory building provi- sions. No one was present wishing to speak on the matter. No written protests were presented. Following a brief discus- sion, the City Council approved staff and the City Council Utility Services/Land Use/Energy Development Committee's rec- ommendation to continue the hearing to December 3, 1996, at 2 p.m. CASE GP-002-967/ZONING CASE RZ-001-967/CU-005-967 11213- 11229 INDIANA - ORDINANCE INTRODUCED 3 P.M.--Hearing was called on the proposal of A. A. Webb Asso- ciates to: (1) amend the existing General Plan by deleting the Medium Density Residential (RMD) land use designation from approximately seven acres consisting of two vacant parcels and one parcel containing two single-family residences and acces- sory structures located at 11213-11229 Indiana Avenue, on the northerly side of Indiana Avenue west of La Sierra Avenue, and placing these properties in the Retail Business and Office (CBO) land use designation or other designations deemed more appropriate by the City Council; (2) place approximately seven acres at the above location in Zone C-3 and remove the same from Zone R-1-65; and to also consider supplementing the re- quested zoning with Zones S and X; and (3) approve a condi- tional use permit to establish a mini-warehouse facility at the above location.
