City of Riverside, et al. The Mayor and Councilmembers returned to the Council Chamber with all Members present except Councilmembers Thompson and Pearson. The Invocation was given by Councilmember Clifford. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meetings of January 26, 1999, were approved as presented; with a correction to Page 84-206, Zoning Cases CU-009-978 and CU-012-978, indicating the substitute motion was made by Councilmember Kane. PRESENTATION Mayor Loveridge called on Human Resources Director Judith Griffith who assisted in welcoming Ned Hockings, Career to Work Counselor, and 15 students from Arlington High School to government offices in honor of General Colin Powell's Groundhog Job Shadow Day Program. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item. PLANNING COMMISSION ZONING CASE CU-046-945 (REVISED) - 1201 UNIVERSITY The City Council upheld the action of the Planning Commission in approving subject to conditions the request of Michael L. Keele, representing Southland Land Corporation for a revised conditional use permit for Phase II of the University Village project establishing an additional 71,904 square feet of retail space, 16,403 square feet of office space, a 37,043-square-foot health club, and a 768~car parking garage. Also conceptually reviewed was the potential for additional phases of this project to include 163,977 square feet of.ffice space in two, multi-story buildings; however, no specific approval was given for these buildings. The project is situated on approximately 15.5 acres developed with a 10-plex theater and commercial and office uses at 1201 University Avenue situated on the northeasterly corner of Iowa and Motion Second All Ayes Motion Second All Ayes X X X AA X 84-214
